Kabocha looks as if it is segmented and grows downward like a pumpkin. This squash is oval bit like a small rugby ball.
Could be tatume (tatuma) squash.

Battery to low to post
That's possible.Could be tatume (tatuma) squash.
Luckily, whatever it is, all squashes/pumpkins can be cooked the same way. Summer ripening squashes such as courgettes tend to have a softer thinner skin and don't keep very long, winter squashes have harder skins and can keep for months. This squash is building up to a mystery we may need Herculè Poirot to solve.
Today was a perma-hungry day, so whilst I had nothing tooooo off-piste, there was just a lot of it.
Brekkers -A vat of home made Greek style yoghurt, with a cranberry (wonderfully tart) coulis
Lunch - Mega salad with what could have been a whole truckle of Tickler cheese, with a chilli dressing
Dinner - Cold cuts - from a magnificent Sunday beef joint, brussel sprouts, with some melted butter drizzle. I also had a few small, skinny. crunchy chips. Not suitable for Jenga building.
It is incredibly rare I'd eat after dinner, but I may have to resort to berries, with some home made clotted cream later.
Memo to self, and a nudge to the rest of us: Let's be mindful of the thread title and have a goodly proportion of food-focused posts.
b: ff greek with seeds, 6 blueberries and 3 walnuts
L: a bit of brie and a bit of stilton, some olives. A nut "Yes" bar
D a very small bit of steak fried with onions and peppers. (One large steak between 3 of us). The boys had theirs in wraps, fajita style. I had mine with a dollop of cream on top. 2 squares 70% divine with raspberry bits. Too nice, have given rest to hubby for safe keeping or the lot might go in one
There are different varieties so check the labels. One nut one is only 5g per bar, another is 8, and I've been ok on both of them, when eaten as part of a meal. Other flavours are much higher carbsI've noticed that the pharmacy has some "Yes" bars and was thinking of trying them. How do they affect your BG?
