What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

This would be the delicious keralan food home cooked and then delivered to us.
Sea bass karimeen style, chicken curry, rice with spices, mixed vegetables and nuts. Chappati,(specially for me because i wont eat rice!) raita. And a mango cheesecake type pudding.
How could I resist, food cooked specially for us with love. I did though make cauliflower rice to go with mine and had only a small spoonful of the Carby version. But the pudding was divine.
There was enough food for two days.
The cat is now settled enough to go off exploring, lovely sunny morning, thought I would get a pic of him in the new environment so followed him round a grassy corner to find him clambering through a pile of wire. When he came back several hours later he had oil stains on his white shirtfront.

Not a lot done yesterday apart from hobbling about the house.
I did though have a look at the Gongbi style of painting using plum blossom as the subject. Gongbi style uses a painted template and then filled with colour in layers using two brushes; paint is added in tiny dots with the paint brush and then spread with a water brush. Once dried, another layer is added and so on. Anyhow - quite interesting. Hope you all have a good Sunday. Already had koffy at 0530.

Another lockdown imminent, and we fly on wed....:wideyed:

Seems it goes ahead, the worry is we may only be there for a day or so,
but Lauren seems confident, with all the emails and chat, that it all points to business as normal
once we fly out..so fingers crossed

Enthralled by the art, and appreciate the simple explanations of how such works are done.

While unable to contribute there, perhaps as more of a world curious person,
this 360 degree video of the Blue Nile Ethiopia to Egypt might be worth a few moments.

A little background, Ethiopia builds largest Daammm ( it holds back a body of water ..:rolleyes:)
concerns raised if they fill it too quick others get less water.
trump has suggested he'd support bombing it...:sorry:

My brother in law is a member of the Wirral Symphonic Wind Band and they managed to produced this while isolating so all is not lost we will get through this latest set back I'm sure.

chilly and windy here today but we managed to avoid the rain so far for the most part ;)

Sunday dinner at mum's, roast chicken and veggies plus a vanilla LC cheesecake with blueberries to follow :D

@Muddy Cyclist - interesting start, the autumn trees against the dark sky are great :joyful: I always enjoy seeing your process, it's helpful to me ;)

@dunelm - Gongbi style sounds interesting and has produced some subtle colour changes in those petals, you challenge yourself with new techniques often :)

@ianpspurs - we're fortunate here too in that we have a couple of good local butchers in the closest small towns and a free range egg place a couple of miles away :) (nice brown hens guarded by nice brown llamas :D )

@gennepher - spooky one today, reminds me of a big spider in the web :wideyed:

@JohnEGreen - a blast from the past there, love Holst, this was always a favourite of mine. In my younger days I played french horn (wind band as well as orchestral plus brass band on Tenor Horn). Played this suite and the one in F in a wind orchestra and in a brass band version. I used to really enjoy playing in the wind band, the arrangements tend to be interesting :) Tell your BIL I enjoyed their performance

Excellent, these are not easy to compile. I have a relative who plays in the Kew Brass Band and he does many of these for them.

Fine double horizons, very well painted as usual.

Attended an all souls service this evening streamed from the church where my friend had been a licenced reader and lay minister one of the candles lit in his memory and another candle lit in memory of an old friend of us both of forty years very touching will miss them both.
 
Good Morning and 6.3 for me today.

No art yesterday as most of day was spent at MILs sorting bungalow. Then I succumbed to an attack of Fibromyalgia so no enthusiasm to create, sorry.

Weather here awful so not sure how the day will pan out.

A jolly 4.9 and ketones at 2.1 which means I shall continue in this vein ;)

Technically I probably shifted to intermittent fasting yesterday afternoon as I had a dollop of cream in my coffee which probably breaks the fasting rule. There's probably an etiquette that I don't know about ;)
