What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Morning all.

New avatar for me too - a young fox snapped on my walk on Sunday.

A bit under the weather - off work yesterday and will be today - and food was a bit erratic. Was starving, having only one meal on Sunday and earlyish in the day (2pm). Had some anti-pasti from M&S in the morning: speck (which I didn’t like as I could taste cinnamon in it), salami and some cheese.

For lunch ordered Nando’s as didn’t feel like cooking - 4 boneless thighs, Halloumi and some of their nuts.

Dinner was small - a few bits of leftover beef from the weekend and a couple of small pickled onions.

Chia seeds with sugar free coconut milk with a green tea (breakfast)
Lunch ham salad with sugar free squash
Plant based shawarma chicken style piece with salad and garlic mayonnaise and chilli sauce while the boys have with it homemade wedges and wraps with a sugar free flavour water and peppermint tea x

Evening all.

TMAD today. Lunch was mince fried with onions, 2 eggs and a dollop of burrata.
Dinner was Nando’s again - a repeat of yesterday. Deliveroo is coming in handy while I’m under the weather.

@Mrs T 123 I agree with @maglil55 those Iceland wild shrimp things are great and very low carb. I think they say serves 2 but We can easily eat 1 each!
Today I had the usual black coffee until around 11:30 then had a craving for a bacon butty. Used Dr Almond bread ( around 0.2g carb per slice)
Dinner was h/m bacon cheeseburger and salad of spinach, avocado and cherry toms. DGF brownie and cream to follow.
What is Dr Almond bread?

Brunch - chia pudding made with greek yoghurt, flaxseeds, cinammon, raspberries & blueberries on top with a little double cream drizzled over the top

Dinner - chicken and avocado with side salad. lc trifle. I would really like to drop the cream but not in the right frame of mind for doing it at the moment so know I would fail. Although I have cut back from 4+ cartons a week to 1, so I have made some progress ... and as long as I do everything else in moderation that's fine but if the weight starts creeping up again that will motivate me to start cutting back on everything which I plan to do in spring/when the better weather starts and I am not looking for comfort from food ... Mug of earl tea to heat me up - again don't usually bother with tea in the warmer weather just water ... Roll on Spring!

@Goonergal loving your fox avatar lovely photo it’s like he’s posing for you! Sorry you are under the weather take care.
OMAD today
Indian chicken, raita, salsa and green salad with glass of soda water with dash of cranberry bitters. Pudding DGF mint chocolate brownie with spoon of extra thick cream.

First meal around 2 pm was a salmon fillet and salad of avocado, h/b egg, lettuce and h/m Mayo. DGF brownie and cream.

Late morning: black coffee and DGF cake.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and coffee chia pudding.
Dinner: mushroom, tomato and cheese omelette followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.

First thing a wee 5k walk to get the steps in.

Brunch: 2 Heck Italian Sausages, 2 slices of bacon, mushrooms, halloumi and scrambled eggs with a dollop of cream. Was trying to avoid the mid afternoon cravings, so upped my brunch and it seemed to work.

Dinner: Chicken Breast, celeriac chips, creamed Savoy cabbage, a mini corn on the cob and some Tesco peppercorn sauce. I think it’ll come in about 10/11g.

2 squares Mint Intense Green and Blacks.

Skipped breakfast, thats 7 out of 8 skipped now and finally had 3 lower fbgs ina row.

L. Cheesy lc soda bread with chicken liver pate, 2 bits of cheese and 2 cherry tomatoes. Ff greek with seeds and 6 blueberries
Mid afternoon trying to avoid hot chocolate so had 3 small pieces of a cheese savoury I had frozen. Seems to hit the spot and fill me up.

D h/m chilli. Only used half a tin of beans in 5 portions so about 14g carbs altogether I think. I had mine on Brussels sprouts. Boys had rice. 2 lc brownie bites, warmed with cream...lovely

Somehow, somewhere in the day I seems to have chipped a bit off a tooth!

Brunch - chia pudding made my usual way with greek yoghurt and raspberries & blueberries on top with a drizzle of benecol on top (gave it a nice flavour)

Dinner - chicken with garlic tomatoes on top. Broccoli, brussel sprouts and a little carrots. lc trifle

I have also had some cheese & nuts extra today - oh and an options hot chocolate too

Managed to keep myself busy all day and stick to OMAD.
Dinner spiced pork ribs, cucumber raita, green salad and avocado with drink of soda water flavoured with dash of dry white wine followed by DGF pudding and spoon extra thick cream. Just about to have decaff coffee with one lc hm truffle (0.5 g of carb)

Late morning: black coffee and DGF cake.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and coffee chia pudding.
Dinner: gammon steak with roasted Mediterranean veggies followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.

Very happy to see signs of spring today, snowdrops and primroses out and daffs coming up. Hurrah.
2 meals again today. Lunch was the last couple of slices Dr Almond loaf, toasted topped with a tiny bit of avocado ( one of those frustrating surprises, cutting an avocado and finding 90% of it is brown and horrid) plus a tin of mackerel in oo and sliced h/b egg
Dinner from the freezer I’d labelled Moroccan beef. Think it was an IP recipe. Served with buttered broccoli and a dollop of cream cheese.
Hugs for the chipped tooth @MrsA2

Was working in my school hub today so lunch was just 2 Babybel, 3 olives and 4 mini chicken satays.

Dinner: H/M Butter chicken curry, cauliflower rice and one poppadum. About 12g, really need to try to find a reduced sugar tomato purée.

Cuppa and a Fibre One caramel protein bar, which is 4g.

No breakfast
L: 2 scrambled eggs, some left over chilli, a tablespoon bean salad. Bit of mix but tasty.

D: 2 heck 97%, celeriac mash and caulifower. S/f jelly with a little cream. I did notice that cooking dinner while hungry somehow a piece of brie and 2 tablespoons of cream cheese fell into my mouth while cooking.
Later a glass of white wine. Beeen ages since I drunk white, this was a chardonnay and tasted too winey so halved it with water

Days behind again! Sunday’s supper was Beef Strogonoff with cauli rice.
Monday was lamb chop panfried with mushrooms and tomato.
Lunches have been a spoon of Waldorf salad from a big bowl I made on Monday accompanied by variously ham or cheese.
Tuesday night was chilli beef at Mr PM’s request but my portion was too large.
Last night was roasted med veg with Italian herbs and finished with lots of grated parmesan. Today is Fish Finger Firsday so I need to keep as lc as I can leading up to the main event!
@DJC3 had a look at Dr Almond walnut loaf you used and thinking of ordering for a change. It seems to take a long time to cook.
