Mrs MC was in and out for Covid Jab although disappointed there were no handsome Italians clad in ancient Roman Army gear only yellow jackets.

Have more virtual music recordings to do, sinking fast they come in as faster than I can get them out, must devote a day to it Sunday.

Painting from yesterday finished, sun rise in Dove Valley from a photograph I was sent. I hope the farmer will be happy with the final result, we shall see.

good evening all

4.7 today

just a quiet day doing some cooking and sorting stuff out in the freezer. A surprisingly dry day here but very cold and windy so I've done some indoor laps a la @dunelm

We got a phone call this morning to invite mr gee for his covid jab next Thursday

Adapted some more of the christmas pudding we bought to make it a bit lighter for mum's pudding tomorrow. I chopped a portion up, added some rum and some cream, blitzed it then added a small amount of coconut flour and ground almonds and a half of a beaten egg and then cooked it in the microwave for three minutes. It made a small cake (two good portions), with a much lighter texture than the original pudding. should be good served with cream.
I shall have my LC spiced cake (flavoured with orange zest and mixed spice) served with cream.

Mr K is being a true super hero. He is out in the pouring rain searching our village for a little Romanian rescue dog that has run away from its new owners.

He wouldn't let me go with him because the weather is so awful. There are other people searching for it so I am monitoring Facebook for any new sitings.

I get indigestion due Gabapentin. One needs to take them away from meals with plenty of liquid to get them right down,

Thanks@lindisfel. I was prescribed Gabapentin x3/ day by one doctor due to intermittent pains in my right eye/ temple which he diagnosed as Trigeminal Neuralgia. Soon afterwards I started getting nasty chest pains and breathing problems. Another doctor told me to reduce my dose to 2/day, prescribed Omeprazole and is due to review it any time now. By then I was having the temple/eye pain on both sides which she said didn't sound like TN. My chest cramps have eased on the lower dose but I have indigestion even after drinking water and the head pains are continuing. My blood sugars are up and I am soooo tired. I am convinced the Gabapentin are causing the indigestion and raising my bs levels even higher than usual. Thanks again for your info.

You are being unkind to yourself when you say 'no comment' to your northern lights. It is brilliant. When you look at experiments the next day (I am also talking about myself here), I then think that is not actually bad at all. So pat on the back for you for an experiment that worked.

Under a quite strict daily testing regime, when placed in isolation, despite repeated negatives daily, still tested positive.

There is a female blackbird that comes every morning, and then stays on the same branch pretty much all day. She has done this the last few weeks. Sometimes I can see her beak moving, so I assume she is calling...calling for her mate from last year? I don't know quite how that works in the blackbird world.

I feel sorry for her. She will let me come out and stand besides the branch, and she doesn't fly away. I assume she was one of the blackbirds in or born in my garden last year. They do get used to me. I hope what she wants comes soon...
