What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

good evening all :)

4.7 today

shopping day again and it's been a lovely sunny day here (once the early frost melted ;) )
tomorrow Mum goes for her second vaccine shot around lunch time and has asked that we take her to Home Bargains afterwards to buy a bucket of fat balls for the birds in the garden. This usually involves at least 45 minutes of wandering up every aisle and Mum coming home with a varied selection of things :D

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@dunelm - fine minimal hill/cloudscape, works well :)

@gennepher - your badger has worked out really well, so much movement, and the colours glow :joyful::joyful:

art bit - still working on my flowers on and off.

Thanks @geefull
The birds in your mum's garden will be well fed!
Your flower is really beautiful. And looks 3D.

Thank you @geeful - another excellent flower study from you today. Like the colours.

Good morning everyone from a frosty start here at the little house on the prairie. Never mind, the sun is shining and it looks like it will be a fine day.
No reading this morning -far too many treats with the ninky nonks.
Another quick sketch - we are under the control of three small yet very demanding and noisy humans. Hope everyone has a great day - I am trying to type this, drink koffy, catch bean bags and build towers with giant Lego.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

A 6.1 this morning on that scheming meter of misbehaving and naughtiness.

Sorry but a bit of a rush this morning, cage problems, cage is the term motorcyclists use for cars.
I have to get the cage down to the garage early then walk home, positive is the paces should do my daily pace count a world of good.
Must go now and prepare.
Have a great day all and remember it ain't over till the fat lady sings and covid goes away.

A cold start to blue bin day in The Brecks. Libre definitely showed 4.7 on waking and swiping. Felt awful yesterday but bg stayed in 4s and 3s. Tried to avoid the uniquely grotesque excrement show of lc food and feeling crook until 17.00 when I sunk to 3 and also needed to eat to take some medicine to avoid joints seizing today. Highest ever sleep score overnight and virtually unprecedented 7 hrs 30 mins sleep. Bizarre all round but based on various readings all down to tree pollen. @dunelm methinks the man doth protest too much and is rightly having a whale of a time with the Ninky Nonks. We have 2 little girls here today and grandson after school. @Krystyna23040 glad you are feeling better and the Naiman talk was useful. @alf_Josiah I hope the car fix is easy and cheap but COVID is now a permanent problem and there's nothing The Mendacious One in No 10 can't and won't make much, much worse. Take care all.

Hope the sucking of teeth and "What cowboy, dunthatthen :wideyed::rolleyes: "

is at the lower end of the fat wallet robbery experience.

Enjoy the full D-ick Whittington extravaganza back.
Remember to turn, and turn again, young Alf :D

Do you know what's causing the hypos, Ian? You must be eating enough because your not losing weight?
Too much Insulin or too little Glucogon being produced??
OR...Liver anomaly and producing too little blood glucose??

I only get hypos if eat too much carb and start producing peaks and troughs because my insulin response is delayed and then over shoots. Mine is a miss-timing problem, you must feel grotty. When I get down to 2.5 I feel like flaking out.
You obviously get to see an Endo?
Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Derek
I think the the lower numbers are part Libre and part IF/OMAD. I don't feel grotty when down in 3s - never yet been sub 3. Endo? Never seen one and no Dr or DN for 15 months. I don't think LC eating will ever work for me and certainly not anytime anything is vaguely malfunctioning. Very short of pleasure and totally devoid of comfort food. Probably unlikely to eat enough on lc and weight towards bottom end of reference weight for height already. Which I'm fine+ with. When I ate yesterday I returned to mid 5s so fine. I think (pray) the higher protein will deal with insulin/glucogen issue. High fat isn't for me but I cope well with protein shakes. Thanks for the concern though.

Just heard a report on how green list and red list countries are being mixed up at London Airport. 1000's a day are arriving at London already and being mixed for hours in arrival halls and buses..some going to quarantine and others free to go anywhere.
In May it is going to be a lot worse!

I hope Doris knows what he's doing, because if the Brazilian variant gets in and babies, kids and youngsters under 40 start to die in their thousands, even us old people would not think he is great guy and would want to have his guts for garters.

That ship has sailed - fingers in ears and la, la, la /I'm alright Jack/he's one of our own for a large enough number to allow him to bumble along for a decade. BTW, no hugs needed for me and lc. It is just a treatment with a largely unpalatable taste for me. I can cope with 3s well enough - 2s might be a different matter but I've never been there. I need to stick with a very narrow menu, add protein and accept days like yesterday as a known side effect.

Been sitting in garden for best part of two hours. Wall to wall blue skies but well dressed up. However, eventually got cold not walking around.
Its very dry, which has been the pattern up here for a few years in Spring. But its seldom been so persistently frosty overnight in April.

Have decided to develop another string to my birding interests.

Nocmig is becoming an interest for some birders. It the study of nocturnal bird migration. A lot of birds migrate at night and continually call and some maritime species cross the UK at night on a broad front. The sea duck, the Common Scoter, calls as it flies across country and many have been heard in the last year or two.

All it remains for me do is buy a good audio recorder, audio dish and mic and we are away recording night flights on still dry nights.

So I shall become a Nocmigger..That would be a good question to ask at a quizz, it would stump them!

Good Afternoon.

No charge on the cage repair, but long term it will cost to get a replacement part fitted, me and me's are happy with the car, an estate, I can get long planks of wood in it, but Mrs J is not so happy, we don't need 2 cars and associated expense so I sold hers last year, hers was more of a drivers car and not an old flatulent man's car.
Mrs J was not happy and is still not so happy, remembering many years ago when I sold her car without telling her and leaving her catch the bus into work :-) .

For the technical, air conditioning condenser has a very, very small leak, test pressure was apparently 100 bar, which in old money is 100 x 14.7 lbs per square inch.

Thanks for interest and best wishes. Bye bye till tomorrow.

I think this is brilliant for a quick sketch @dunelm

Fbg 6.7

My digital painting in Procreate.
I saw three oak trees on a hill with beautiful yellow-green grass, and blue skies with white fluffy clouds...
We have wall-to-wall blue skies at this minute, but it is pretty cold outside so I'm actually sitting on the warm side of the window...
