What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

My bloods have been higher than normal throughout for the last week. FBGs have been in the 6s which I have not seen for a while. Not sure why; it could simply be angst but I have been feeling a bit meh! although I do seem to have avoided the stonking head cold my husband has at the moment. Another reason may be because I'm using a different meter - we left my Sinocare testers at my Son's in Wiltshire when we returned last Sunday so I'm using my old Tee 2 for the present - On the other hand it could be just diabetes saying "I'm here."

Hoping things are starting to get back on a more even keel, FBGs were 5.4 yesterday and 5.7 this morning. Have a good day folks.
 
Well so much for me saying that I'm aiming to be in the low 7's by the end of this month my FBG was 9.7 yesterday and the same today .... what's that saying something about tempting fate :rolleyes: I'm debating going "cold turkey " ( excuse the pun ) re carbs .

@mojo37 , I love your profile pic, too, and I do identify with the need for a ‘frustration’ emoji, also a ‘what the heck is going on, confused ‘emoji. However, there should be an emoji for ‘determination and tenacity’ for those who keep on keeping on, despite setbacks. You would have it awarded. Frequently.
@Ryhia , I agree, diabetes has a habit of hiding away, then sneaking up just when you think you have it beaten.
Currently, I am being fooled into thinking I am sorted, with a 5.9, this morning. Watching like a hawk, as I don’t trust my T2 to play fair. ;)
 
7.4 - UKRAINE - You know what, I have absolutely no problems at all. None.
 
The mood of the day seems to vary between I don't like it sarge, it is too quiet, just when I thought I'd seen it all and as @Estragon says maybe a little context is needed. Bring it in guys, let's hug it out and yell "Go Team D. " (That's what living amongst 6k+ of Uncle Sam's finest does) Swipey is still asleep while "they" work out if more CTs or MRIs are needed. Hope my postings are ok in the meantime? (No hugs needed. I've got loads of tea:woot:)

Ok, to avoid a derail knuckle rap, want to report that I am currently enjoying a bit of a lowering of BG averages. Where is the fingers crossed emoji? Not seen any higher than 6s for several days.;)
 
Back on topic. A rather excruciating 17.0 from me.. @Pipp ? All I need is a working basal.. :hilarious:
