What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Mine was 5.4 when I got up at 4:30AM, higher than I like as I spike with Foot-to-floor syndrome within 30 minutes of rising.

Regardless of what my waking BG is, I infuse 1.5-2.0 units of Novorapid (split between immediate and extended bolus) prior to getting out of bed. D

FBG 6.0 at 9:15 this morning - wonder if it was because I slept late or maybe I had a reaction to the zero carb Tonic water I had just before bed last night. We shall see what tomorrow brings. Have a good day folks. :)

Off out for some retail therapy now :):):)

Good perspective my man. I have a feeling hot weather may adversely affect bg levels but as always there will be contradictory scientific "evidence" and posters who thrive in such conditions.
 
4.8 today. Doing my A1c today at 9 and that would have been a 14hr fast. Hoping my A1c and cholesterol is doing ok. Managed to put half a stone back on by upping carbs to 50grams a day :happy:
 
Hi everyone. For those in the UK today is officially No Thermals Friday even for carb dodgers. @DEBBIESCOTT respect for the work ethic and I hope the gym has good air con. @Estragon good flat lining as it were and enjoy the recliner. @ultradad knocking it out the park as per. Go Team D but oh so carefully.
 
Had a glass of wine last night which is why my bloods were 4.6 this morning.

I have my annual diabetic review this afternoon. Still no news on the bloods front from the hospital those results seem to have gone AWOL- GP surgery hasn't heard anything either. May give the hospital a ring later today. I have been told to expect to have my bloods taken this afternoon regardless. I'll probably just let them, might be interesting to do a comparison.

Hope the review goes as well as it should since your routine is exemplary. Still in my prayers just for belt and braces.
