What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.0 today.
I got results of blood test A1c gone back up to 48 eGFR down to 42 not too happy with iether of those two results.

Bloods seem to be rising at the moment, not sure why but this morning FGBs were 5.9 and 6.1. So lets say an average of 6, but I noticed straight away that something was up as my eyes were really blurry.

Ah well, tomorrow is another day.

6.6 today.
Not seen any 5s for ages, so expect HbA1c will be higher than previously. Have not been able to get appointment for blood tests for over a month since I was awarded the necessary papers for being a good compliant T2 diabetic and attending my review at GP surgery. Receptionist says the rule is appointment first, to do BP, feet check, weight, height, lecture on diet , exercise etc. Would be a much more informed lecture with the blood results available, and better use of time, but sometimes, non-compliant, naughty T2 patients have the blood test, then don’t go back for review. So the surgery doesn’t get paid. So really the review is for benefit of surgery, not patient.

Went out for brekkie with a friend. Two eggs, bacon, sausage, Tomato and mushroom. Yes a small single mushroom. Blood sugar now 6.1......

Not testing so just lurking for now as I'm having fortnightly chemo, lots of scans (so no Swipey) and loads of detailed blood tests which include random blood glucose. Attached is Friday's so I'll assume bg isn't wildly misbehaving. Looking at the time the blood was taken well before I would have eaten but I would have had >3 litres of tea, probably 4. Interestingly, not bothered about cholesterol. @PenguinMum hug for sciatica. Take care.
