What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Same as yesterday with some arugola added. On my former favourite plate, now my second favourite plate. :)
Yes, I have a thing for plates and mugs, choosing the one I like depending on mood (and what happens to be clean of course, usually not going as far to clean a dirty mug because it suits my mood better).

Tomorrow I'll have to be creative when it comes to food.
Going to see Bob Dylan in Amsterdam!
It's been a very long time, thanks to covid, never been this long since my first concert in '93.

I'll leave at around 4 pm to account for delays on the road and won't be back until around midnight.
I'm not very good at packing food when I'm not hungry, and I won't be hungry at mid afternoon. Fingers crossed I'll be smart enough to think of something to bring, and fingers crossed I'm wise enough to force myself to eat something before leaving my car for public transport in Amsterdam.

Also hoping my horrible cold won't be too noticable tomorrow. I tested negative but my neighbours at the concert won't know, and I don't wish to disturb them by coughing all the way through the concert.
Hope you have a wonderful time and your packed food works well for you. Concerts are such fun.

Looking forward to my HbaIc result tomoro. Not eating much but I I'll say this 'still eating'.
Just grab whatever I can. At the end of the day still food as long as it's the right food.
So mostly Kefir today to settle the stomach

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a phd bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Tea at ILs: cold meat, cheese and salad buffet followed by one Jaffa cake!

Saturday
breakfast fage yogurt with walnuts, black coffee
no lunch
pea nad ham soup for dinner. Drank lots of watercand lemon and ginger tea.

Today
brunch: egg, bacon, sausage mushrooms, black coffee
lots of black coffee during day
dinner chicken cauliflower, red onion, gravy, Pepsi Max

And a bit of a whinge…. If I don’t stop sneezing and wheezing, and coughing enough to return to my swimming, aqua fit, and walking, soon I am going to go totally nuts! Or maybe just stay in bed.:arghh:

@Antje77 hope you enjoy the BD concert, I didn’t realise he was still touring. We saw him probably 25 years ago!
I’ve had a fairly undisciplined eating day - too much nibbling.
B- eggs on cheese on SLC toast.
L- Feta, olives, nuts
D- Roast pork shoulder with puréed swede and roast broccoli and cauliflower. Could have done with some gravy. Red wine x2
Raspberries and coconut cream.
I’ve also nibbled on more nuts, raspberries, 100% chocolate, almond butter. Cheese.
Crikey writing it all down has made me realise it’s even more than I thought. It wouldn’t be so bad if I’d been active but health app says 5K steps. Oh dear.

Bacon and eggs

BG around the 10-12 mark all day.

Tea with milk and coffee with cream plus some refreshing watered down orange juice.

Not hungry but I have some tomato soup ready to go if I feel like it later.
I had a large mug of the tomato soup. That'll do me until morning. BG still high all day - 15.4 a short time before having soup so I took a full dose of insulin and had the soup. Should check it again I suppose. 11.4. That's a drop of 4.0 in 4 hours. That's allright.

He definitely is!
And according to the back of my brand new T-shirt he'll have 10 concerts in the UK over the next couple of weeks. Can heartily recommend trying to get a ticket, the concert was amazing!
I liked it a lot more than his last concert in my country in 2015. :joyful:
Hope you have a great day, Antje - and manage to have enough of the right food to keep you happy.
Kept it ridiculously simple, took a double sandwich of low carb bread with me.
Had half of it before the concert and half on the way back.

but I'm in need to find ways to eat the double cream I brought back to the Netherlands before it goes off
Still a pot of double cream left, despite the mushroom sauce and repeated pot licking when passing the fridge.
So I borrowed my friend's ice cream maker and see what I can do with it tomorrow!

B: yoghurt, seeds and blueberries
Nothing then until 15:30
A "sandwich" of ham, bacon, mince, chorizo, pulled pork, cheese and afried egg. Left the bread!!!
A low carb beer

Bg has been very erratic, either the new sensor started today or stress

This evening one hm lc hot choclate and whisky

Hello everyone. MIA again dear oh dear as the King said to the PM.
back to Thursday’s supper which was chunky cod fingers and cauli cheese.
All brekkies have been a slice of LC toast and copious tea.
lunch Friday and Sat were small cold plate, cheese, cold meat, spoon cheesey coleslaw and chopped salad.
Supper Friday was cod loin baked in Teriyaki sauce with cauli rice.
Supper Sat was lamb cutlets panfried with chopped mushrooms. Love lamb.
Left the pan for Mr PM to fry lambs liver. Hate offal.
yesterday lunch was buttery scrambled eggs, small h/g apple.
supper was chicken fajitas with soured cream, salsa and guacamole but without the fajitas in my case.
lunch today will be another cold plate from the fridge and my supper will be two Green Cuisine plant burgers topped with Portobello mushrooms.
Distant hugs to all with colds, I hear Covid is rising fast, more people wearing masks again.

Sunday 16 October bed 6.3 FBG 6.5. Swimming lesson done ironing done final shop with son done Now maybe I can focus on what I need to do.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with egg mayo.

L. Nothing - too busy with above.

D. I got one of these very thick rib eye steaks which do 2 people. Had it with the last king oyster mushroom, spinach, santini tomatoes, cauliflower cheese and mustard. Usual campari and soda.

Oh, I forgot earlier I had a grenade ice cream bar. I've discovered that if I have this (or the coconut bar etc( before 8 pm, then my BGs don't react as much and drop to more normal levels at bedtime.

Bacon and eggs for breakfast, which may yet turn out to be he only meal today.
BG consistent at least (high but consistent).
Had a coffee with cream half an hour ago and am now feeling thoroughly nauseous. I don't think that particular mix works for me. Plenty of options for a 2nd meal, this being shopping day, but I think I might pass on that. Unless I suddenly start to feel better, of course, and hungry.

Congratulations on your super HbA1c @Aishia but please do come back to us after your binge.

@PenguinMum I can only give a ‘like’ using the app but I wanted to give a funny for your first sentence!

Another mouthwatering photo @maglil55 perfect looking steak.

Today I’ve been a little more mindful with eating, not so much mindless nibbling.
B- cheese omelette and supergreens superkraut
L- packet of M&S rollitos and yesterdays leftover cold roast broccoli and cauliflower with chilli mayo.
D- more leftovers, yesterdays pork with butter chicken sauce from sometime last week. SLC roll to dip in excess. Raspberries and clotted cream.
Just having a small glass of raspberry gin now.
