This badger who I call KissyKissy because it is always is trying to make nose to nose contact with cat, Midnight.
And Midnight is making his feelings crystal clear.

Cat & Badger (cat hisses at badger)

Creative today is a digital painting in Procreate of autum.

Yesterday, I was in the Polish shop with my phone, translating some different foods I was interested in. I am looking for some different foods with my diabetes in mind. And for the problem I have a severe reaction to rapeseed oil. Came home with a bit of stuff. Start trying them out today...

Time for a cuppa c(_) or two c(_)

Have your best possible day...

Another beautiful autumnal scene. These would make smashing cards. All the best with your Polish shop purchases.

Good morning everyone from a mostly overcast start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. It’s the monthly farmers market today so I will be walking briskly past all the sweet delights and artisan breads. I will though be getting a couple of scotch eggs and having a rummage through the game stall although our local butcher probably does a better deal on pheasants and ducks. A shirt and tie have to be found for tomorrow and shoes given a polish. Art bit - it’s a ruin. Have a most wonderful day if you can make it so (steady Jean Luc). Koffy has now been consumed and the first task of the day calls - empty the washing machine.

A very long corridor today @dunelm
Enjoy that farmer’s market!

5.1 this morning. All OK at the dentist yesterday. Didn't feel that happy on the bus as it was quite full on the way in. Up to now busses have been travelling virtually empty.

Was happy that I had done 17K steps yesterday. Did some of then almost at running pace as I crossed Norwich to catch my bus back.

At least I didn't get a message from fitbit saying 'excellent cardio for a woman of your age' - which always really annoys me.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who celebrate the dawn of another mischief filled day.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.4, better than yesterday’s low.

Well here in Tilehurst Towers today is a gathering day, family will be here for a ruby murry late afternoon preparations are nearly complete, Mrs J and her offspring have presented a united front and told me, me’s and myself what I must do, what they have not done is told me what I must not do…..hehehe, one of my favourites is replace the chocolates in Ferraro Rocher wrappers with sprouts.

The grandchildren will be here so I might be able to set an example of how to behave, remember life is for living, moment to moment. Many brave people gave their lives that we may live ours and I feel it is our duty to honour them.
Stay safe all.

Edit cancelled.

I really want to give you funny for this last paragraph, I’m still grinning now.
I have to admit I would most concerned if a Fitbit gave me that sort of message, firstly I don’t have a Fitbit and secondly I’m not a woman.
Congratulations on number of the paces.

Good morning all. Fbs today was 14.1. Busy day planned. Earlyish visit to a craft sale in the area where we used to live to support an old colleague, delivery of birthday/ Christmas gifts to an elderly lady who lives in the same area, visit to M&S store to collect an order and have a quick lunch, onward across the city to support a dementia fund raising event for a local hospice then back to doctor's surgery to queue for Covid and flu vaccines. I reckon we will need a cuppa and a lie down when we get home! Have a good week-end everyone. :)

I would collapse before I did all that @dogslife

Have a long lunch...

The only time we had a problem with the bigger cat (Jimmy) was when we tried to travel with him using a cat basket. We took him with us from Dumbarton to Canterbury and he protested loudly for quite a long time, before ripping the basket apart and climbing out. He then settled quite happily on the rear windscreen shelf of the VW we had then. On the way home, we bought a new, stronger crate and gave him a sedative suggested by a Canterbury vet. It just made matters worse; the sedative was not strong enough and he howled and howled. Then proceeded to demolish the new crate. He travelled the rest of the way on the back shelf. That's when we decided to train him to walk on a lead.
Are you sure you didn't misidentify your cat.
Tigers are ones with stripes! ;)

Good morning everyone. Some busy days planned. Today used to be the start of a forty day fast - Quadragesima Sancti Martini - but as much as I find LC food “challenging'' my scales tell me I really need some calories. Being part of the big IF study reduces how many times I need to tussle with JKP over not eating “normally” (whose normal?), hot or "enough" food. The goose for Martinmas will be eaten tomorrow as a dual feast of remembrance and thanks. Phone consultation yesterday went as well as could be expected in that the last scan showed all stable and bloods were seen to be "all good.." I do not like LC or really believe in it but something is delivering those numbers. @dunelm thanks for sharing another wonderful new artwork. Enjoy the farmers market and preparation for tomorrow. @gennepher thanks for the video and creative. To me they are looking more sombre as the days shorten. Very appropriate as we head towards the modern, shortened Advent. I hope the food from the Polish shop agrees with both your digestive system and T2. @dogslife what a really busy but thoroughly worthy day - absolutely Philippians 4.8. When did the word worthy become a weapon in the culture war for the basket of deplorables? @Krystyna23040 great step count and embrace the Fitbit message as an affirmation of all you do to love and cherish your body and those of your clients and classes. @alf_Josiah enjoy your family day. We are at opposite ends of the scale on so many things not least ideas on fun and mischief making but I do see where you are coming from. Enjoy your day everyone which will be hard for some English ladies smarting from an unusual defeat. Some days are diamonds (some days are stone) - not every day can be a sweet Caroline day.

Mellow autumn and some ghostly leaves resting in their last days before winter comes and takes them away. A hint of winter beginning to creep in, trying not to be observed.
Edit: fixed typo

He had stripes but they were grey on grey. Some people thought he was actually a Scottish wildcat - he did look a bit like one and was pretty well as big but he was, most definitely able to be tamed, which I gather is not the case with a wildcat. Maybe one of his parents was though. He was such a good natured cat - as a kitten he would allow my son to drape him around his neck and just, kind of, wear him. He also seemed to be quite happy curling up at my husband's feet while he played the accordion, or sitting on the vacuum cleaner to ride around the floor.

"And welcome to thunderdome.
In the blue corner, weighing in at 3 1/2 kilos,
The Merthyr Tydfil marauder, ...MIDNIIIIIIIGGHT......"

That feels like a little 'THIS is Mine " with a tad of the large friendly bully, who comes along to ' chat' but who you know will steal your pocket money & lunch in an instant ...

Lessons learned somewhere, me thinks

Not sure how far Kissee kissee & midnight might have roamed, before washing up at Chez Gennepher...mmhh ?

Be a most interesting tale if only it was possible to find out ..< sad face >

Excellent quote there, Ian. Excellent sentiments as well. I still use "worthy" in its old fashioned meaning, but then, I am admittedly old-fashioned and non PC for the most part.
Thanks. The scornful adoption of the use of worthy is a "weapon" of those opposed to PC who rail against just about everything and anything embodied in the sentiments of those verses. From all you reveal about your spirit you are definitely not one of those.

Thank you very much @ianpspurs

If I see sunlight then my paintings are more lighter in colour...
You have your best day...
