What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

A quiet afternoon weather wise and it was nice to get in garden. Managed to move some bulbs that had trespassed onto the grass part of the lawn, the spring bulbs are having a real good go, and will hopefully be a splendid colourful show of blooms.
It would be so nice to sit outside sometime soon, without having to wear lots of layers.

Stay safe you lot.

Keeping an open mind could well see you in the ducking stool or at least bring people with pitchforks and burning torches to your door. You dangerous heretics and free thinkers are a scourge. :D
I dont see it being am a free thinker! Sounds too much like man having high opions of himself.

All of creation is good but living in a change decay world will ever be our lot whilst we exists as creatures, we have no soul spark of perfection in us we are homo sapiens we need to agape others and the planet.
Thats what genesis was about.
We do not have a spirit soul.
However believers have come to the conclusion God has better for those who demonstate Gods goodness by complete metamorphosis into a totally different being not bound by the physics of this universe, with a self sustaning exisitence bestowed by the Divine

Good morning everyone on a less windy start to International Bin Day and the “ Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o the puddin'-race day” here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.7 just before 6am but rising. Shingles jab yesterday - transpires that it is a two part jab, each part 8 days apart and the ingredients need mixing in a syringe that has a needle longer than the beak of a Curlew. It was like a cookery lesson quickly followed by one of those expensive “experiences” in the hands of The Spanish Inquisition. I’m looking forward to the second part - people pay a lot of money for this sort of thing. A1c results came in at 40 which is a nice surprise knowing what festive titbits were sampled during December and into the new year. Art bit - more trees vicar? Don’t mind if I do. Hope your day is less breezy both indoors and out. I shall drink koffy but better put the bin out first.

8.45am FBG 6.8 pottering about and on phone French lesson. Not lots of exercise.
9.30am FBG 5.7 that's an improvement. Coffee time now.
Yesterday went to pharmacie to find out about vitamin D3 for the year as prescbribed by doctor. Have been noticing am not doing so well and decided it's neccessary. At least until the weather improves.
Managed to explain in french and it seems the same ordonance is simply presented again to get another dose. How efficient. I took the maximum allowed three month supply, but am now thinking this was a mistake as it deprives me of the opportunity for practicing French and social contact.
Planted a few tomato seeds in pots indoors. Will be interesting to see how this second generation of seeds from my plants turn out.
MrSlim planted willow withies along the dividing line to our field. By lunchtime he was exhausted. The weeks of ill health and cold weather have kept us both inside and mostly sedentary. Now we can both see and feel the effect on our general fitness.

9.9 at 0530. Dropped to 8.7 after a cup of hot water. Breakfast now (and some insulin) so we'll see how that goes. Townwards today to get the bandaging done on my legs but am hoping to make haggis this afternoon, if I can get the ingredients this morning. Must remember to add swede to the shopping list. Last time I made haggis was years ago - a vegetarian version and it was good, but very carb heavy so it wouldn't do now. This version will be low carb - if it works.

Morning all from a wet L.A. on a packed diary day: the Feast of the conversion of St Paul, Burns Night, Test match cricket in India, bin day and unwanted clothes collection - exhausting. @dunelm did you request a shingles jab or was it freely offered? Congratulations on the A1c and thanks for sharing the splendid art. @Krystyna23040 shame about the reason but good news on being able to work from home and that fbg. Even though haggis is sausage and carby I will have some. It may well be gut friendly with all that offal and fibre but in truth no one actually knows what to eat for the best. @Annb I hope bandaging goes well and the haggis is a triumph. Enjoy Thursday everyone - even if only some parts thereof.

Well, all the very best with that haggis making and hope that it is an absolute triumph to the pudding race.

Thank you @ianpspurs. I had to drop in some blood pressure readings in at the GP surgery on Tuesday and asked at the desk about shingles jabs - got booked in for the following day. I had thought that the surgery would contact me after all the advertising, but no.

Morning BG data miners .

My 5th year of T2D going well

Back to testing early Jan.
Dry january not so hard
& Back to lchf at a slower pace than original
DX but still showing marked improvements.

Monsieur M'ter records my early attempts in the long term memory in the low 9's.
But the 7 day window records me hovering just above the shorter hated Eights .

A modest but aspiring 7.3 this morning shows the HMS TIPETOO frigate* is slowing down & altering course.

(* Not quite what I said at dx, but close ;) )

So I'm grateful for that .

Have a safe one, all.

Fbg 6.7

Internet's playing me up
Poor connection...

Wildlife nighttime video
A very busy night - Cats & Badgers & Foxes...
...

...& a nasty bl/wh tom cat who had viciously attacked my elderly cat Popeye 4 years ago, inside my kitchen, as I opened the door to take the rubbish out of my kitchen to the wheelie. He had charged into the kitchen unexpectedly like a ball of intense fury...
Popeye had needed antibiotics and treatment in the first Covid lockdown (2020) when we were not allowed to access any of those facilities. And this incident happened despite me keeping my nearly 30 year old cat Popeye safe under supervision and indoors.

This is (on the nighttime trail cam) my first sighting of this nasty tom cat since 2020.

I am going offline now until tomorrow...

Have your best day

Time for lunch...

Good day to y'all.
7.1 this morning.
Why is it always up on a thure?
Is it the counselling?
I'm not sure.
Shed is covered in new tarpaulin.
My son helped and Mrs L looked after #8.
That didn't work out as we wished, however, it was good for her, despite the energy of the little ratbag!
I'm afraid to report, that Mrs L took to her pit as soon as possible, after we had finished and is still there.

Counselling was interesting, I have homework to do. (Don't I have enough to do, I asked him?)
But because I had told him, no excessive anger issues, except with the weather and front garden and shed.
But not with Mrs L, which must be a good thing, maybe. The irritability, the frustration, the annoyance but I'm deflecting the anger by not engaging or instinct to do so.

Test match in India has started, had to catch up through the day.
Don't think it will last four days never mind five!

Time to get tea ready, have a tremendous Thursday.

My best wishes to you all as always!

Thank you @ianpspurs. It was sad that the church member died so I did feel a bit guilty that I was happy that it means I had an easier day.

My fbg seems to have at last gone back to normal for me numbers. I was beginning to think that it never would.
