What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentleman

Blood sugars this morning were 5.1 . For those of you interested 51 is not a prime number.

Here in Tilehurst Towers it was late start to the day getting out of bed at 9:15am.
Mrs J, who’s tea was late extracted revenge by trimming my beard and cutting my hair.

Have a great day all, stay safe.

Samson.

@dunelm, happy birthday to your mum; @ianpspurs, happy birthday to the Little Guy; @Lamont D, good luck with the Yorkie invasion.

Bed by 22.45 last night - absolutely shattered. Out like a light but awake again by 24.30. All my pains worse again, but it was my Libre that woke me saying it couldn't get a signal (I was laying on the arm with the sensor on it). BG was low anyway at 3.7. I could still move a bit so I came through to the kitchen (took several minutes to shakily cover the 12 feet from my bedroom) and took some painkillers and had a cup of milk to bring BG up to a reasonable level. Went back to bed about 02.30 and managed to sleep until 06.30.

So here I am. Parcel returned to Amazon (via Alistair and the Royal Mail), ready to make some things to go in the freezer ready for the Royal Visit (my big brother and sister-in-law) in the middle of the month.

Alistair delivered a 2 metre length of finger trunking from Amazon which I have been trying to get hold of for a couple of months. I had ordered a similar one from Amazon in early June but for some reason dispatch was delayed and delayed again so I finally cancelled it and ordered a different one on Tuesday. It arrived today, so now Neil has the job of installing it and tidying up all the cables on my desk. It's not a major tidy of the kitchen; it still has to be done, but it's one step forward.

Good morning everyone on another day full of anticipation here in the dark and dangerous north and my mum’s 89th birthday. There it is, 5.8 again. Almost as suspect as John Bowlby’s adaptation twin study data. Oh well. A fun packed 8 mile day yesterday. Skate park - no, not those big circular affairs full of children skating round in circles with little metal plated skates on, held to the feet with a couple of leather straps. No, a humps and dives and rails thing. Then back to the house to stash the scooters before an adventure on little used paths through the woods and down to the crowded beach. Ice creams and then back through different woods. Round to daughters house for fond farewells by the grandchildren. We are meeting their parents at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park this morning to spend a couple of hours with them before they are whisked off home. Art bit, a tree sketch. Hope your day is a fine one, the good life is just where you are. Koffy, must be time for a koffy.
Great trees @dunelm
Teetering on the cliff top, waiting anxiously for the next mudslide....

A beautiful walk through the woods.

Happy birthday to your mum...

Morning all from a cooler L.A. where there has even been some light drizzle. @Krystyna23040 hugs for both the hot venue last night and the busy day today. @dunelm happy birthday to your mum, good step count and all round day yesterday, thank you for the art and photos. Youngest grandchild - the Little Guy ™ - is 3 today so a celebration has been organised. As #3 son, wife and two girls plus the other L.A. dwellers will assemble in the Real Fens - very near the Ship of the Fens which he loves and calls The Castle - to give thanks to God for the milestone, the joy he brings, precious time together or just eat cake - 12 gns in my case. I hope you all find some pleasure today.
Enjoy the celebration @ianpspurs

Hug for the Amazon mess up but what a lovely ink blot creation of a Heath Robinson style flying hippocrocopig. or what ever you like.

Happy birthday dunelms Mum and Ians Grandson.
What eventful lives you all lead, may you all have many more happy years.
Derek
Good to see you here Derek. Thank you and everyone else for the birthday wishes for my grandson. Last seen careering round the garden in a Buzz Lightyear costume wearing oversized Hulk boxing gloves. He must get it from JKP. God blessed us with dry weather, some shade for me and time with my boys and grandchildren. Oh and #3 son provided green salad, barbequed halloumi, chicken thigh, courgette and yellow pepper kebabs plus bbq chicken skin (from the thighs) - Elsie Keto never seemed so good, so good, so good. That would go well in a song :D

Thank you @ianpspurs. Hope you enjoyed the cake.

@gennepher thank you for sharing the creative. That is my favourite of the inkblot series so far, incredibly creative. @Krystyna23040 and @Lamont D no cake for me as I didn't have the heart to make my son weigh 12 gms and a Spiderman cake doesn't suit my constitution. Just had yesterday's turbot :meh: I'm not a white fish fan so my opinion may be biased but whilst it is better than cod, haddock, coley etc (very low barrier to clear, more like limbo under) I can't see the value taste wise compared to Tilapia.
