What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Orange sky tonight, clouds very pretty.
Moon looks beautiful, gonna be a starry, starry night.

No wind, no rain, no winters fall,
Can stop me.
If you're my goal.

The footies back yay!

Have a lovely rest tonight you lot.

Have had a brilliant day today. Got everything we needed in our little market town this morning and even had time for a delicious cup of coffee at Costa coffee while Poppy was at the dog groomers.

After a relaxing day yesterday I was full of energy today and this afternoon and evening updated 1:1 clients lesson plans for home practice and emailed them to them.

In classes I introduced 5 new exercises in the last 2 weeks and told everyone in the 19 classes I teach to just email me and I will email the exercise sheets to them. Rather a lot of class members did just that and I actually managed to email the exercise sheets to all of them.

I updated my packing list as we are off to the Westleton Crown tomorrow for a relaxing break which we are really looking forward to. Hopefully it will cool down a little.

I now have a heat rash because of this weather and my hot bungalow...I haven't had a heat rash in since forever...
I Google how to help it....go and find a nice cool room Google says...
HOW???
It is 24C in my bedroom, and hotter in all the other rooms in my bungalow....
And I have fans going in every room....
I sat in the garden until nearly 11pm

Midnight still won't come in the bungalow. He misses me, but won't come inside in this heat. Over the road had their front doors open until late this evening to try and get cold air in. I sat out on the garden swing with Midnight until a few minutes ago, just before 11pm. I could see shadows moving in the garden waiting for me to come in. I have only just come in, and it was like a wall of hot air hitting me as I came inside. And I have only just shut and locked the doors and windows...

7.15am FBG 5.1
Saturday.
Having been assured that house sales are very slow during August, I had not been too concerned about the perfectly normal mess created by having four children in the house. When they left for the camping trip Mum closed all the bedroom doors and I left them that way. The house has not been in such a mess for months. While they are away, take the opportunity to wash sheets and we decide to make chutney. Need to use up some of the courgettes. Collection of ingredients fails, some are missing so I make a list and go shopping.
Trip to the pharmacie, where i practice my french and the assistant insists on explaing in fractured english takes a while Choosing birthday party stuff even longer.
No cardamom pods available in nearby small supermarket so try the larger one. There I find ground cardamom. It will have to do. Short shopping trip takes over two hours.
Get back to find we have been invaded.
The estate agent has brought potential buyers to look around. MrSlim tells me he saw the agent walk past the window....
Knowing there was a mess he asked them to look outside first and dashed about tidying. Children's rooms argh!! We may never find all the shoved out of sight items. He can be very creative under pressure. Apparently the agent had emailed, but MrSlim doesn't carry his phone and checks it only a couple of times a day, I will have to ask the agent to text me, much better chance of message being recieved.
The potential fell flat. They want a house further back from the road.
Viewing Paranoia revved up again and now I am once again constantly tidying, either house or garden. Which is why I was outside before 8am this morning.
Afraid, there was an inevitability about this @SlimLizzy the moment you set foot outside your front door.

At least you have a little longer to enjoy all those wonderful vegetables. Freshly harvested, home-grown produce always tastes so much better than anything you can buy.

Monday's FBG, 4.4 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

BG at 05.30 was 8.3. Why? Actually, I do have an inking but least said...

Late to bed last night, even for me (01.30) because I got involved in something online and forgot the time. So didn't wake up until 05.30. So far, I've only taken pills, had a cup of tea and finished loading the dishwasher and turned it on. Thank goodness for dishwashers. Still stuff in the sink needing to be washed by hand but they can wait a while. Another cup of tea, I think, then we'll see what I can do today. Actually, aches and pains better than they have been for some time. Painkillers working better than usual. I'll try to, finally, get my bed made today. I stripped it about 10 days ago but wasn't able to put bottom sheet or duvet cover back on so have been wrapping myself in a fleece and just crashing on top of the bed since then. Today, I feel that my back, arms and hands will cope, so I'll try to do it.

Pleased for you that aches and pains are better than they have been of late and all the best with making that bed - duvet covers - it was all so much less of a fight when blankets and hospital corners were in vogue.

Good morning everyone on a splendid sunny yet cooler start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 this a.m. Indications were that it reached 32 degrees of scorchio here at 4pm - blagh! I think that was a bit exaggerated as my ankles were silent. Aurora visible again last night (picky below - not mine). Out today, down the coast a bit to a place called Runswick Bay - it will be quieter than Whitby. Smashing scenery and there is a nice pub for a light lunch. Dinner reservations for tonight. I know it’s our anniversary as I have a warning alarm that goes off on my phone 5 days prior. Art bit - I only want to see you laughing in the purple rain. May your day be a good one, as good as you can make it. I best make some koffy and sit in the garden for a bit.

I still have my old duvet covers, BUT I don't put the duvet in the cover any more, too much of a fight. And I am incapable of doing that any more. One duvet cover goes underneath the duvet, then the duvet placed on top, then the nicest duvet cover goes on top of the duvet. Because the duvet covers are slightly heavier than sheets, they pretty much stay in place (but not always if I am having a kicking the bedcovers night, but then what ever covers were on the bed would need remaking then anyway.)
@Annb @dunelm

Haven't had that 2nd cup of tea yet, or done anything else from the list of tasks for today. I had a sudden thought about one of the stories I am writing so decided to get it down on the file before I forgot. Just wrote about a quarter of a chapter as a result but forced myself to stop so I can get washed and dressed and get on with the day. Had reached a good point to stop anyway.

I've tried that, but they always end up on the floor. The most difficult part of bed making is getting that bottom sheet on though. I find it hard to lift the corners of the mattress to make any kind of corner, never mind a hospital one so I have fitted bottom sheets, but still have to lift the corners. That's the bit my hands really don't like. I have tried the "easy" method of putting a duvet cover on, but don't find it at all easy so just struggle with the bulk of the duvet and force it in - more likely to end up inside the cover with the duvet.

Good morning all from L.A. where the day has started deceptively dull and cool. This may have been the hottest area of UK Plc yesterday with almost 35C in the City of my birth. Some here are clearly feeling uncomfortable in these temperatures so hugs for you @gennepher and @JohnEGreen. A Take That moment last night and today: no dressings, no top or covering sheet overnight nor "extra kit" today. Some areas of my skin resemble those patches of cupping the Olympic swimmers show and others exhibit crusts but this is huge progress: thanks be to God: Psalm 44:3. Modern medicine, nursing and JKP helped but I know where the real source lies. @dunelm congratulations to yourself and Mrs Miggins on the anniversary - you sure lucked out there fella - and #anklegate being a non barking dog. Thank you for the photo and art and enjoy today together. @Annb good news on seeming to have more energy. @Krystyna23040 yesterday doesn't sound exactly like a holiday but does exemplify you. I nearly gave a funny for even having a packing list - they are just wrong. 28C promised here today so 3 grandchildren and JKP will have hot tub time again. There were rumours that y'all can go your own way today.

You are right @ianpspurs. Yesterday definitely wasn't a holiday and I am very tired today - but it was so worth it. I can completely relax now and enjoy our little break at the Westleton Crown knowing that the work is done.

Mr K is also puzzled as to why anyone would need a packing list - but it is so good just to tick everything off as I pack it and I don't have to rely on remembering what I need to take. Especially as my brain is in holiday mode today.
