What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I agree with "Rather than creative I see my process more as vanity in not letting a piece of software beat me" @ianpspurs even for me.
I am still struggling with understanding this app.
There are so many pages to bring up and so many names of things that I do not have a clue. And out of frustration, I fling the app offscreen, then re open it again, and start again. I suspect you will understand the app sooner than I will.
Thank you for the compliment earlier. I think since I don't have an outcome other than some kind of difference to the starting image I have a huge advantage. I'm not looking for specific tools/effects just sub headings as it were. You have skin in the game - you want certain effects, tones etc. I just played about as there was no sport on TV, I couldn't stand what MIL was watching but I needed to be in the living room to stop two grandchildren annoying her - JKP was knitting. MIL was tired and is 94.7, the children weren't doing anything wrong.

7.1 eek!
Chores to do, busy morning doing washing, mopping, cleaning etc.
Mrs L stayed awake til late yesterday she is now catching up after a mornings debate on where I was and when.
I managed to help her get comfortable.
There had been incidents and accidents.
Hints and allegations.
And to top it all off, the sciatica pain has returned to the left cheek, so cos of the house chores and my limited movements (slow) gardening chores are to delayed.
Weather has predicted showers but so far the strength of the wind (very blustery) hanging out washing, stretching wasn't too pleasurable. It is cold, heating has automatically come on again.
What sort of August is this?
Gorra go, spitting now.

I get you @ianpspurs
Yes I do have some thing in mind...

Beer and fags man has gone quiet since people told him not in my name but his icon is spouting gibberish. Decision time in the USGE coincides in some places with back to school dates. In North Carolina, mail voting begins on Sept. 6. It starts in the must-win (for Democrats, anyway) state of Pennsylvania on Sept. 16, and in Michigan on Sept. 26. Tough choice?

For both demagogues this will be dismissed as fake news but true enough for many young people. Cited here in case anyone thinks I made it up just because I find the impact of both abhorrent.

This was the postbox with the knitted W.I. dolls.
The first few I tried, I got obvious dolls in the kaleidoscope. I didn't want that, then I got this one which I like...
The knitted dolls look a bit like summery flowers.
Any attempt at the mo, because my garden flowers are so small, mostly wildflowers, do nothing in this kind of kaleider kaleidoscope (or at least in the settings I have found so far).

I'm late to do my lunch, then an afternoon siesta, it's gone warm again...

Hope you are having good day.

(I'll be back later if grammar edits are needed...)

Thank you for sharing the wonderful kaleidoscope. So many different shapes in that one. I like the kaleidoscope but wouldn't like knitted dolls on post boxes so it worked out well. Hope you have eaten and are snoozing. That is a British Sunday duty for many. Some need to loosen the whalebone stays or belt and braces - can't be eating Elsie Keto to need to do that, imho.

Since turning full yankee, When do you vote?

Afternoon all, bank holiday Sunday here in Tilehurst Towers.

Blood sugars this morning were 6.1 and my afternoon nap is a thing of history now.

Yesterday, today and tomorrow are hospital visiting free days then back on the medication treadmill.

This morning our eldest grandson was doing some gardening for us in exchange for a small payment and lunchtime bacon sarnies from his comments it is clear that me, me’s and myself are having an influence on him……..
I hope his parents never find out……:-)

Enjoy the rest of today, english in all its complexities is a knightmare. Now I must be away, tasks to complete and or avoid.

I'm apparently disenfranchised by the Jim Crow laws - taking a while for the The 1965 Voting Rights Act to get here. We get eggs from this family. Nice guy called Jed. Always friendly and always says y'all come back now, ya hear. :playful:

Thank you @Krystyna23040
If I recall you said you took one and a half tablespoons daily. How did you take that if you don't mind me asking...
I've got a thingy that measures tablespoons so before breakfast I grit my teeth - measure it out and down it as quickly as possible.

Not the most pleasant experience but I as have definitely seen a reduction in inflammation in my joints it is well worth it.

Also, if I have a salad I will drizzle some over the salad. So some days I do have more than a table spoon and a half.

I am not sure if I am imagining this but I have noticed that my eyes are not quite as dry and nor is my skin.

I will have to find my measure then. I need more help with my dry eyes as well as arthritis @Krystyna23040
If you hear a scream at my end.....

I survived @Krystyna23040

The trick is to tip the spoon right down your throat, missing out the taste buds in your mouth......

I had a taste in my mouth yesterday and it was blooming awful.

But bypass the mouth...straight to the back of the throat, and you almost wouldn't know how horrible the olive oil tastes...

If this is right Southern Europeans should have very little joint pain?
Having said that I don't have much joint pain myself but I do use a lot of Lidl extra virgin.

Don't like drinking it but I do use enough cooking which improves taste when heated.

Brilliant @gennepher. I am definitely doing that tomorrow. You are right that the taste is blooming horrible when you take it by the tablespoon.

Although it is quite nice as part of a salad dressing.

That would be very interesting to find out
@lindisfel.

I have recently had a flare up of joint pain and swelling in my fingers and thumbs and the olive oil seems to have calmed it down.

Indeed @Krystyna23040 and @gennepher. Wouldn't it be easier and more pleasurable to make a nice salad dressing?

Just add a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar (no more), some garlic (if liked) plus garden herb(s)(at this time of year we are spoilt for choice) to your tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.

Sunday's FBG 4.6 on waking at 6.00 am.
