Lunch, as yesterday, a salad made from radish thinings from my garden served with smoked trout, seeds and some nuts.I could have had extra protein from a snail that was munching some of the radish leaves! Snail was moved by me out of my radish plant pot and introduced to a weedy patch in the garden instead. Followed by one English strawberry sliced into a few spoons of yoghurt.
Dinner salmon served with local asparagus followed by small piece of hm LC ginger and cinnamon cake.

Breakfast: Chocolate Surreal with strawberries and coconut milk washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and another carb killa bar.
Dinner: strawberry and grilled halloumi salad with lemon and balsamic dressing, inspired by a Jamie Oliver recipe.

Brunch - low carb wrap, spread of full fat Philly, 3x turkey rashers
Spoonful of coconut Greek yogurt with 20g of blueberries

Snack - salt & vinegar square crisps (despite managing without sweets and biscuits, I cannot cope without crisps lol )

Dinner - fresh tuna steak, roasted cherry tomatoes, green veg mix of broccoli, asparagus, kale and peas in mint butter, carrot and Swede mash - it was the most amazing dinner I have had for ages! Lol
Pudding of a high protein blueberry pancake with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries and a spoon of Greek yogurt 5%.

Oh and 2 rows of green & blacks 70%

Total carbs roughly 90g pleased with that today!

I love crisps!
Have you tried cheese crisps yet? They might fill that gap.
Just grate a thin layer of grated hard cheese (Cheddar, Gouda) on a baking sheet and pop it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Should b as crispy as crisps after cooling, if not give them a little longer in the microwave.

Today I had a slice of LC bread with butter, a cold duck egg and mayo at work on the bridge for brunch, and an evening meal of meatloaf reheated in the microwave with some tomatoes and mozzarella.
I just had a late snack of chicory leaves and hummus, ready to go to bed now.

Cheese crisps sound fab! I will give them a try tomorrow!

And if you can’t be bothered to grate the cheese just use a slice of Edam or Gouda - microwave on a bit of baking paper for 90secs. Once it’s cool you can snap it into crisps.

You can also microwave salami slices on a piece of kitchen roll until crispy. They are good for a salt craving too.

Chocolate chia pud first thing.
1/2 round Ham and cheese sandwich ( L/c bread) later.
Small pack of olives mid aft.
Small local grass fed rose veal rump steak with salad this evening.
Having smaller, more frequent meals is making a big difference to my post op recuperation. I hope the steak wasn’t too much!

Coffee and unsweetened almond milk x 3
Coconut oil
Stir fry Mixed veg. (had chilli in which I hate) Left half.
Beef
Milk Lolly

Breakfast kefir then poached egg on a large flat mushroom.
Lunch hummus and seeded crackers followed by a few raspberries and yoghurt
Dinner hm chicken curry served with fresh coriander followed by two squares of 90% chocolate.

I'd like to go back to eating hummus again. Do you find it very carby for your BG?

I have found I can tolerate a small portion of lentils but not chickpeas or other beans. The oil in hummus might help to stop a big BG rise. The only way you’ll know for sure how your body manages is by trying and testing. Let us know how you get on, good luck.
