I have Asperger Syndrome which is an autism spectrum condition and a full diagnosis of Adult ADHD which are characterised by impairments in social communication, social interaction and social imagination. I also have a rigid and somewhat unpredictable routine. I also experience obsessive rituals, some a bit overwhelming. But I have a talent in articulate creative writing skills and possess a photographic rote memory. I have sensory sensitivity and get upset by loud noises, bright colours or lights, and notice the texture and consistency of certain foods more making my dietary choices extremely limited or restricted to certain food components. I dislike conflict and lies. The Adult ADHD also makes me very moody and cross.
I've just eaten one slice of grilled Bloomer bread toast with finely spread margarine and scrambled egg made from 1 egg, a splash of semi-skimmed milk, salt and pepper and a bit of margarine to prepare the scrambled egg in my frying pan, stirring all the time with a wooden spoon.

I'm now watching Elena of Avalor, a fictitious story on Disney Channel UK Sky Channel 609 which is about a young princess and all her friends. Here is an image of Elena, the main character, which I uploaded from Google Images.

Odd this diabetes lark ....

Tested last night before bed and was happy with 5.3

Got up - had a shower etc - then decided to test tolerance again to porridge (I got hypo 3 hrs after eating it last time) .... I was 7.5 before eating and 8.7 two hours after .

Do you ever get used to the differentials .....

Good evening, my good, caring chums,

I had a very good, enjoyable day. Ive had my friend Lee's company and another friend called Colin Mahoney who suffers from severe nervous disability and depression, now treated with medication, popped in for a cup of coffee and brought me 3 books to read with illustrations and plenty of words that he purchased from the library in their book sale and he also bought me some Marvel skimmed milk powder, 2.272 litres of semi skimmed milk which was lovely. He paid for it out of his disability benefits for his nervous disability as he is is incapacitated by it for work. I cooked Jerk Pork and rice for Lee, Ioanna (another friend) and myself and we ate together, Ioanna commenting that the pork was too highly seasoned for her liking and she drank a lot of water but both Lee and myself enjoyed our meal immensely. In the evening my elderly born again Christian friend Matthew called round and we spent most of the early evening listening to children's hymns on You Tube. We also watched the close of C Beebies until the children went to sleep and The Disney Channel. It was a beautiful day with good company and companionship.

Not really. You learn to accept small differential margins and concentrate on slip ups or managing illness. Illness comes out of the blue so difficult to prepare but having mostly good bgs, is a huge help.
What have you accepted about challenging your variations?

One of the main things I do, is not to worry too much about fasting blood sugars ... they are just really weird and I don't like to have a bite before bed to try and prevent dawn phenomenon ...

Illness is an odd one - I have been ill this afternoon, so perhaps there was already an indication of that in my system this morning - and I think I caught ringworm (in my elbow) ... so many things to take into consideration.

I also heard my GP is moving into a clinic I moved out of last year and now I am not sure whether to stay or not (but at the moment, despite not being on a specified Gliclazide dose, he lets me have some strips which I doubt another doctor would let me have) ...

All this keeping us alert .....

Hope you are feeling OK and managing .....

Good Morning, my fine, considerate and ever-loving chums,

I had a brilliant night's sleep last night and woke up to Lee visiting and chatted with him and watched BBC Breakfast jam packed with news bulletins and current affairs issues. My fasting blood glucose level this morning at 7:20 Ante Meridian after 4 rollies and 1 mug of coffee with milk and 2 sweetener tablets was 6.6 Millimoles Per Litre. I haven't had any Nicorette QuickMist 1 milligrammes mouth sprays yet. I feel really happy today.

I'm ok. I'll live! A worrying time but hey ho, it could be worse. At least they ruled out a heart attack.
Maybe a side effect from Naproxen but specialist didn't say. He wants to investigate further. Gulp!

Ps. Fasting levels are never the full story but nevertheless a story. So many influences. I try and just concentrate on 1 or 2, with meds. At least we're trying.
Loads of people just rely on meds.

Good evening, my fine, caring chums,

I've had a good day today amidst mood variations/emotional dysregulation manifest in my Asperger Syndrome and my social communication and social interaction hasn't been that hot either. My close friend Mary Nolan, a disabled senior age citizen brought around some special chicken fried rice that was donated to her by a local take away while she was out begging and had several cups of coffee that I made for her as well as us sharing the meal between us. This evening I felt a bit touchy about a friend of mine and my friend Lee's who is responsible for exploiting me over my Sky Broadband and Sky Television account paid for my my appointee who looks after my benefit money by frequenting pornography sites on my computer and watching the Adult Channel on my telly which I've now blocked both availabilities. This man is a very placid, docile and somewhat meek character who has a porn addiction and some sexual hangups who has been suspected in the past of taking advantage of me financially and sometimes physically. He lives in supported housing in the Waterloo district of London run by Family Mosaic. In the past I've not been very good at safeguarding myself against this man and other people which led to my benefits being managed and administered by the London Borough of Lambeth for my own protection. I am described by healthcare professional as having pronounced incapacity to recognise risk/danger and incapacity over my finances and that's why Holistic Community Care PLC support me in the community. Alot of these incapacities are part and parcel of my moderate to severe Asperger Syndrome.

My blood sugar, tonight, was 5.6 mmol at 6 pm after a day of drinking tap water, smoking minimal roll ups (more mouth sprays than smokes) so my diabetes is more well controlled than my Asperger's.

Have a lovely evening my friends.

You sound like a very very friendly chap. I guess you attract loads of friends but remember not all are genuine. Be very very choosy. Choose the one who is honest to your face. Those agreeing to everything you say have normally an alternative motive. I'm sure you'll spot naughty so call friends again. Be very very choosy and don't get rushed into anything, impulsively.
I know hard for a decent chap like you.

Good morning, my fine, caring chums,

I don't feel very well today, I'm burning up with a virus and aching and feeling like I've got a temperature all over my body. I haven't had anything to eat today and don't have any coffee, I've just been drinking tea with milk and 3 sugars each, crazy I know when I'm diabetic. My blood glucose level at 10:55 ante meridian is 9.5 Millimoles Per Litre. I must lay off the sugar and take sweeteners from now on. I feel really rough.

Oh you poor thing. It's awful when we feel ill with a virus, and it doesn't help our diabetes either. Do you have any tins of soup Johnny? Maybe you could manage to eat some soup, or how about eating some scrambled eggs on their own. Try not to put sugar in your tea, you know that it is not good for you. Wrap up well, keep warm and drink lots of tea and water, have a little snooze if you can. Take care of yourself @autisticwonder1970

Good Morning, @13lizanne I have got some Heinz tomato soup in a can that my dear Christian friends that I have known since 1995 gave to me recently when they were cleaning out their cupboards in the kitchen of their little house. I've also got some Bloomer sesame seeded bread to have with it. And some eggs. I make very tasty scrambled eggs and love a bit of lightly fried white onion intermingled with it. It's not an emergency even though I don't have instant coffee, I also have some very delectable pasta shapes, some beautiful spaghetti and some Soft Spread for Cakes which I can add to it, I just feel so rough, I believe it's a 24 hour virus, I might feel better tomorrow, I very rarely have the flu and I had my flu jab in September. Many best wishes and blessings to you, @13lizanne from Johnny Baker, a sufferer of Asperger Syndrome and diabetes.

Hi all. Just letting you know I'm fine been busy looking after Ron . He had another seizure this afternoon plus last week he had a hypo. First in a long time. Still no diagnoses for him yet . House is sold. He's still plodding on doing what he can , but to be honest he's bored and fed up. He has the pain clinic next week and we are waiting for an appointment to see a dermatologist.
