FBG 9.2 even when I eat nothing BG never below 6.7. I am on very low carb diet and that’s the only way to keep it under control. The hint of anything vaguely carby and my BG is over 10 straight away. I am on 2.1 of Liraglutide, which I use to take with 500mg Metformin SR. That didn’t make any difference at all and gave me a sore stomach. So just on the Liraglutide now. Any advice?
Hi @Jok11
When did you get diagnosed?
When did you start your low carb regimen?

Good morning
Fantastic FBG as usual & great workout, very consistent
Just writing what I ate yesterday has made me realise why FBG is up today
Think I’ll have to go back to logging on mfp tomorrow
Off to the gym at 7 & hopefully find time for Peleton later
Enjoy your day

We're both doing pretty good keeping up logging the food and doing the exercise, your A1C is really good too .. I think at last mine should be good in April at last, things are looking consistent.

Have a blood test to check that the statins aren't doing anything bad to the liver in a couple of weeks, then a blood test to check if the statins are actually doing their job lowering the cholesterol a month after that, and another blood test for A1C on the same date as the cholesterol test. Let's see how things look.

Saw my daughter yesterday evening which was lovely, we're watching I Zombie together on Netflix, it is pretty funny actually, then a bit of Pokémon on Nintendo. Tomorrow she is going to try the scouts to see if she likes it. They meet at a church just a short walk from mine. She's very iconoclastic, so I'm surprised she wants to try it, but I hope she enjoys it and makes some friends outside of school as well.

Enjoy your workout(s)!! Have a great day :):)

Sure the blood tests will show how well you’re doing, you’re doing all you can, what was your last al ?
Times have changed, girls were never allowed at scouts when I was young, hope she enjoys it, good to make new friends outside of school, especially if all her friends won’t be going to the same secondary school

My cat is useless, I’ve just seen a mouse walk across the floor & through the fireplace, Charlie just sat on the sofa & watched it, I can hear it moving around in the trap (humane one) one of the perils of living in the country

Charlie thinks you're letting standards drop a little. Why on earth have you allowed a mouse to enter his domain! He reconsidering letting you and your husband cohabit with him. He may change his mind if you bring him some treats and scratch the spot on top of his head that he can't reach :playful::cat:

Last A1C was 42, which just keeps me in the diabetic range.
Not sure what effect the statins will have had though .. as for a while the FBG levels really went up when I started on them. Hopeful though .. but let's wait and see .. knowledge is power. Whatever needs to change to make improvements I will do.
Have a great day! Remember .. Charlie is watching you ..

Good weekend ahead .. no firm plans but we always find something. She'll want her bowling revenge no doubt!
She loved scouts yesterday. So I'm sure she'll have lots of fun there on Thursday's from now on.
