    Low, Lower?

Ive been eating LCHF for about four months and today got my latest HbA1c. I am chuffed and delighted to report it's down from 89 last December to 46. I am very pleased but want to get it at least into the mid 5s. BUT....my DN at the hospital, whilst saying well done, says it's now borderline...

    Bohemian Polypharmacy

This was posted on a blog I read. Does it amuse you, entertain you, give you food for thought, cause for concern, or do you think it's scare mongering? http://drmalcolmkendrick.org/2014/02/25/bohemian-polypharmacy/ With thanks to Mr Mitchell et al for the head up ;)

Why would a new member attempt to begin a topic via conversation, rather than starting a new topic? I am very puzzled :meh:

    Gullibility

Fresh from my Butter thread, a follow on thought...... My work colleagues used to say I always thought the best of people, always gave everyone the benefit of the doubt, even when evidence indicated otherwise, so I guess I was a bit of a soft touch, gullible? I'm getting on now and with age has...

    Butter is Best

I have to admit that for years I've eaten anything and everything with low fat on the label because that's what I was lead to believe was the way forward for everyone, not just diabetics. I'm a Grannie, and boy, am i constantly learning that the old adage "you can't teach your Grannie to suck...

    Flying Cats....

Here in the South of Wales and the West Country we're having some really bad storms with winds in excess of 80mph. So much so that the local paper has issued a warning to pet owners...

    The Yogurt Effect (on me)

I usually have a fried breakfast of bacon and mushrooms plus one small slice of Burgen Soya and Linseed, or Livlife bread. Apart from my BG dropping to 3 if I do more than about a 4mile walk, I'm fine. This morning I decided to have yogurt. 100g of Greek yogurt, 25g of blueberries, a few walnut...

Hypo but I Don't Feel it!

Tonight I had my usual pre dinner humalog mix 25 but couldn't finish my dinner. About half an hour ago I returned from walking the dog and did a routine BG test only to find I was 3.9. I re checked and it was 3.6 but I have no symptoms of a hypo. What do I do now?

    The Usual...Leftover Turkey

Please does anyone have a recipe or suggestion as to what I can do with leftover turkey? It's only breast meat because I bought a boneless crown but can't eat anymore, lol. I really fancy a curry but can't find a suitable, simple low carb recipe. Thanks :)

    Low Carb Treats

I found these in Aldi. 2.3 carbs in each one....so I bought two boxes, for those moments when a few walnut halves just won't do! Lol

    Big mistake!

I've been hiding under the radar for a couple of years but have recently come to my senses and am making an effort to regain control of my T2ID by using Low Carb diet. Today I had an appointment with the consultant endocrinologist at a local hospital which has thrown up the fact that for the...

    Tattoo

Hello :) I'm Type2 insulin dep. Having a tattoo (just a tiny one) has been on my "things to do before I die" list for many years. Will having one shorten the amount of time I have left to fulfil my list? Any advice as to which areas of my body are safest will be much appreciated. Sent from...
