Evening all, I hope your all well and having a nice evening.
Just a quick one, not sure how long it will last but I have managed to get 2 libre sensors from my local boots for £35 each. They are on order and will be here Thursday.
I noticed on the libre Facebook group people had been...
Hi all,
my wife has gotten a CGM lately and her skin is itchy and red because of the patch used for the sensor. Do you have any advice or any solutions for her? Anyone maybe can recommend some anti allergic patch as a replacement, or some good creame? Cheers!
currently testing two types of CGM devices.
Really impressed with one which proactively downloads data onto smart phone.
This provides a clear picture of my current BS levels which prompts much thought on my activities and eating.
I now NICE have now approved CGM devices but it would help to...
A researcher at the University of Virginia School of Medicine was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and quickly figured out how to eat to his meter to keep his blood glucose levels in check. He's even gotten a grant to do a little trial on type 2 patients with his "alternative strategy" using CGM...
Just come across this whilst looking through clinical trials. This is happening at The imperial college London.
A new kid on the block? Boasting a cheaper alternative to Dexcom and libre. Sounds promising..

Hi all!
I finally got round to ordering the Freestyle Libre starter pack by abbot last week - it arrived on Monday and i couldn't wait to get it on!
Everything was going well until today (so two days after application), I noticed my arm is bleeding beneath the sensor and so the adhesive is all...
I work with a lovely chap called Colin who has a great deal of experience with diabetes, with a T1D daughter and several T1D friends who are using the pump. I've told him about the Libre (having only applied my second sensor last night) and he agrees that its a fantastic way to help diabetics...
I love my Libre, the convenience of constant monitoring, far less finger pricking and all that goes with it.
But it could be much better and some of the things drive me nuts - as with any relationship.
After having a few come off - skin tac wipe fixed it.
Low readings - seems to be solved by...
Has anyone seen the MyDiaby Watch?
Based on information I gathered from their website they use a combination of 2 non-invasive technologies (High-Frequency Radio Waves Technology and Fluorescence Technology) to measure BSL on the wrist.
I found a scientific paper which confirms that these...
So after many years of resisting it I have finally gone onto the pump.
They fitted me out last Monday with a saline run through so I could get used to pump care first and see if I was ok wearing it. The aim is to go live with insulin this Monday coming (so wish me luck! ), but there is one...

2) Transmitter and x4 sensors at £275. That works...
Today is my first day using the FreeStyle Libre so I was hoping to share my first thoughts and get some views from other users. So far I have noted the following:
Pros
The sensor was really easy to apply and didn't hurt at all.
I fully expected to be able to 'feel it' on my arm but this is...

Hello everyone,
My son started using his libre sensor just two days ago. He started taking antibiotics a day before that. The leaflet that comes along with the antibiotics said that the antibiotics might cause false, increased, urine and blood glucose readings. The libre constantly suggests...
Just felt compelled to share... Been using the Freestyle libre now for about 3 months and find it a great piece of kit especially been able to scan the sensor to see trends and impending Hypos etc. My only issue is that the readings can differ from the actual BS readings between .5 and 2 mmols...
Hello all!
Since a few months, my freestyle libre sensors are always very inaccurate. I don't know what happened, but it's like if the quality of their products have been lowered?? Anyways, I would like to try alternative sites; I know that some of you put it on the thigh, but where exactly? I...
