HAS ANYONE EVER CHALLENGED THE NHS EAT WELL PLATE/GUIDE RE DIABETICS?

https://www.independent.co.uk/life-...-guide-food-and-drinks-industry-a7042251.html

There was a parallel discussion here on the forum. Interesting to see what the EU dictates to us for training

Very well done on the weight loss and the patience you had typing out all those stats!

Oh I mentioned the word Blood with a "Y" on the end, did not know that was bad arggg

Me too! Low fat everything, brown rice, pasta and bread, high fibre usually baked beans, jacket potatoes and plenty of fruit and still wondered why I never lost weight even though I was eating ‘healthily’.
Yes, to think that I was eating like that for years after my Heart Attack, I thought that I was doing good and could not understand the weight gain.

You said you followed the guidelines, but not those pertaining to using this forum. Tut

Since I too have had a heart attack, I am now following the Pioppi diet as formulated by Dr Aseem Malhotra who is a reknowned Cardiologist who gets BBC/ Skye airtime. It is somewhere between Mediterranean Diet and LCHF diet, but I adapt it for LC. I am of the opinion that My Omega oil is better ju-ju than Your Omega oil as it were. I just don't need a keto diet at the moment, so it fits the bill nicely. My weight dropped to a good place then has been quite stable since.

I think you’ll find it’s an automatic censoring feature recently activated on the Forum. @DCUKMod will hopefully confirm this.

Moderated for language for the benefit of any German readers.

Edit: Thanks for clarification. I think Alan Turing would deem there to be a human on the other end of this connection as that does not appear to be an automated response (yet) I wonder what the Esperanto translation is?????? S******, I believe

Moderated for language again. Please desist and remember this is a forum viewed all over the world. Thank you.

I suspect maybe the umlaut has confused the enemy.

Edited for language in quoted content.

Also sprach Zarathustra.

I note that PHE has advised us to avoid red meats, so they too are ducking this language issue too. The word is Not Applicable to this thread. I yield.

U would loose a stone typing that

@Debandez I partially agree with what you say but I don't actually think docs do it for money, it's more likely they're ignorant about good dietary advice. I've challenged the "Eat well guidelines" and the dietitian thought I was extreme when I said I didn't want to eat fruit
