I’ve been around, but very busy. I wanted to congratulate those who did so well and commiserate with those who didn’t see scale progress last week. I was the same AGAIN! Lol. It’s rather funny, if you think about it. I still met with friends for a birthday celebration this weekend. Not mine. It was awesome! Took pics and I was quite pleased. We had a grande time. The difference between last year and this year is amazing! So, I can’t be unhappy.

I’m still working out. I worked out Sat and Sunday this weekend. AND, I’ve begun these exercises called Primal Movements. I observed someone doing them and looked it up online. Appears to help with core strength. Very challenging.

So, I’m not giving up. I will continue on this quest. I will attain my goal weight. I just bought 2 new pair of bikers shorts and ordered a new pair of running shoes. I am committed. Hoping for a better week ahead.
A year can make a huge difference, I agree - and well done on your commitment to your exercise and achieving your goal weight. I will not give up either!

Off to do a search now, to see what this Primal Movements is all about, sounds interesting. Enjoy your biking and running, after thinking I was "past it", I am delighted to be able to do them regularly again.

Good morning everyone - how are we all doing?

I just lost a pitiful half a pound this week. I've worked hard on my exercise, but I do suspect my food intake is now almost equal to my energy expenditure. As I do not wish to reduce my calories below 1500/day, I am happy to live with very slow weight loss now. I will get there, even if it takes me until Christmas.

Congratulations on the half pound! You are in the zone and that’s awesome! I agree about your calories. I have to eat less than 1500, but that’s just my body makeup. ☹️

I finally lost another pound! Thank goodness! I’ve worked hard too. I‘ve gone to the gym everyday for the last 10 days, except for 1. I’ve been hitting those steps on the stairstepper, walking on outdoor track, elliptical, etc. Plus, watching my diet like crazy. I suspect a normal person would have lost 3-5 pounds this past week. Lol. I will continue though. I will reach my goal this year, which will ultimately be 100 pounds lost! I’m pretty close. Working on my book too! I’ve been incredibly blessed and want to share my journey.

Equally important is my BG and I had an off week for some reason. I’m reviewing my cgm charts to figure out what happened. It’s a mystery. I was still averaging around 150, but I am used to 120-130.

How are you all doing? Hang in there! The fact we are focused on on health and fitness is huge! Keep that in mind. We will reap the benefits of eating right and exercise. My biggest reward is that I feel so good overall! I love having so much energy, especially when almost everyone I know says they are exhausted and have no energy! It’s bizarre!

I checked twice and it said the same thing.
Down 3.4. I didn't do anything different. But it does encourage me to do better.
Congratulations May Mic! That’s amazing! Please share your secret if you have time!

Spicy food which is too hot. Nasty people who have no idea on your life journey but feel the need to comment and be cruel.
Stuck this week exactly the same. 210.5

No secret. A bit more water maybe. A change in humidity levels... but I really didn't do much differently.

A pound on for me. Not unexpected as my bg has been running at higher average than usual and have had several peaks not always linked to food. Am going to try and throw in some extended (for me!) fasts to see if can effect a recorrection

Hi everyone, I've been absent from this thread for a while fighting my carb addiction demons (still am). In this time, I've regained almost a stone from my lowest weight a couple of months back. Today I decided I can't hide from reality any longer, need to get back on track and could do with a bit of accountability. So here I am! This morning's weigh in was 87.4 kg with my target weight being 80kg.

My loss has really slowed down. I’m going to revisit intermittent fasting again. I’ve gotten used to enjoying a nice garden salad at lunch. So……

Over the past four weeks I've lost 6 lbs. I've joined a gym and am going today, and intend on sticking with it.
That is great news, Ian, well done, I find going to the gym very motivating.

Hi everyone, I hope you have good results today. I am pleasantly surprised to have lost 1lb this week, despite a meal out, huge stress at work, missing two sessions at the gym and eating a bit too much every day (even going well over my calories a couple of times). Phew!

I am thrilled to be down 2 more pounds this week! I can barely believe it. I think I know why though. I increased my exercise and cut some calories too. I didn’t realize that it mattered so much. I started skipping lunch again. I guess that works for me. On the downside, my extra exercise has caused my old knee injury to flare, as well as plantar fasciitis in my left foot! Ugh! Hate that. I’m switching to elliptical and stairstepper and laying off the outdoor track for now. Hopefully, I can stay in the zone.

Congrats LeafyArts! You are sailing along so well! So nice to be flexible and still see scale results!

IanBish, congrats to you! I love going to the gym too. It helps me in many ways.

Filly, I can relate to that situation. It happens. Seems I do everything right and either stay the same or pop up a little. I just keep trying to find the right combo. Your dedication will pay off though. You have that!

Yay, well done Prancy, that is a great result, but oh, the injuries and flare up - how annoying. Good idea to switch to the elliptical, I do find that one the least likely to hurt me. Stair-stepping is really a tough one, you will see some amazing results from that, I am sure.
