Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Morning everyone, well done to all the losers!
I’m walking much better this week and weight loss has been more significant again, I’ve lost 0.4kg this week

Started 115kg 9th May’17
Today 82.2kg 2nd March’18
Total lost = 32.8kg/5stone 2lb

Well done, that’s fantastic, & great you’re getting more mobile now. Have a good week

No change again for me still hoovering round 57-58kg

I was 62kg before I started low carb lifestyle back the end of June 2017. Always been very skinny but had a little podge around my stomach. Starting to miss it now as injections get a bit tender now.

12 stone 0.8 Lbs and 18.7% body fat this morning. Weight hovers around 11st 13 to 12 st 1 over the last 2 years all feels a bit meh. I am wondering if I have reached a balance between further weight loss and what my body can do exercise wise on a sustainable basis. Goal for me is to sustain diet and exercise pattern, weight and hba1c for 20+ years with no medication, especially insulin, or complications. Common sense tells me I won't be upping exercise regime in 15 years+ time.

I think such a consistent weight is amazing! Stay positive, consistency is so important & it takes real determination - it’s something I’ve never managed personally so very admirable!

Know it’s all individual but I find that although exercise helps me feel better emotionally and physically !
I agree exercise is good for general wellbeing and I do exercise my journey initially involved considerably increasing exercise levels and losing plenty of weight. My goal now is to sustain the palpable gains that has produced over the long term knowing full well you can't keep cutting calories/carbs and increasing exercise indefinitely. I reckon I have one more burst left before accepting these are the final levels. My weight and clothes sizes are the lowest, outside of a period of very debilitating illness, since I was in early teens. I can still wear clothes made to measure from 40 years ago - age 21- I just want to feel I have done all I can and sustain that long term.

That’s a great attitude

Well done you but as you say once you've got to the weight you're ok with it's important that eating and exercise regime is sustainable I know all too well from previous diet and exercise regimes that haven't been sustainable when I've had to stop eating or exercising in a particular way because life has got in the way. I'm really hoping that what I'm doing now is sustainable for me which is why I'm sticking on this thread to try and keep my BMI at 21. Its a good reminder every Friday ! Good luck with this push to get down a bit more and really well done on all you've achieved so far

Thanks Shelley and as you say, the reminder is useful. I have a running weekly weigh in on Wednesday morning and record my weight and BMI so I can trace any trends. The long term is key for me I have a 20 year time frame to say what I did worked and was not a temporary fad.
I am pleased for you getting to a bmi of 21. I would need to weigh 11 stones to get there so I suspect you beat me hands down there.

You may well have more muscle than me!

Don't know about that but I do know build/shape is important. I have had a 17 inch neck since age 17 even at weight of 11.5 stones and 32 inch waist. Chest won't go below 42 so not scrawny but a bit low powered for my family.
Eit: A touch over 6 feet tall

Well done @Goonergal know you worked hard for this how much more are you aiming to lose?

My new target is 57 kg, so about 4kg more. It’s a bit arbitrary. When I got to my original target and still had more fat than I wanted, I kind of guessed how much it might weigh! If I lose the fat and weigh more than 57kg that will be enough.

You seem like someone who will reach her goals, very determined so I have no doubt you will get there. I would say that initial targets can be a bit of guess work till we know what can actually be achieved. I still weigh daily in lieu of pinching myself!

Havent weighed myself. Still swollen and just walked out today briefly. In huge pain so losing weight hasn't been my priority this week.
Will weigh-in soon thou as it's my only ambition other than walking without pain.

See you soon ;)

Oh poor you it is so depressing to have so many bad conditions following each other and creating so much pain and trouble Hope you have gotten some help and relief now
GP is helping. Put on a second course of antibiotics today for a bacterial infection... internally. :(
