Yikes! That would have ruined my entire evening.
And my sleep.
This is my new drink when the plum gin is no more!I’ve got some of the HC cocoa gin ( natch!)
I love it. I have it neat with ice and a twist of orange peel sometimes.
They opened a small bottle of it for me to taste when I was pondering over it in the shop before Christmas which I thought was jolly nice of them.
Hope you manage to find the spider he clearly moved in when you were away!Evening all.
Was planning OMAD but got very hungry around lunchtime so ate some M&S Serrano ham and manchego cheese rollitos. Dinner was a large ribeye steak with garlic butter plus one fried egg and 2 rashers streaky bacon.
Said dinner was rudely interrupted by the emergence of a ginormous spider from under the TV stand. Attempts to catch it with one of those long spider catcher things have just driven it under the bed. So long as it stays under all is well, but a very large, heavy, hardback book is now on standby!
Hope you manage to find the spider he clearly moved in when you were away!
Thanks so much @maglil55 for your response. It didnt smell bad but maybe your grandmother was on to something. You are right I didnt plan to add double cream until it was ready to serve. I guess it was pushing it leaving it out of fridge at this time of year even if its cold but I am now a bit wary of the cauliflower fight back lol. Will still eat it though.I suspect there was some fermentation going on with the bubbles. I'm assuming you took the soup to the pre blend stage and hadn't added the cream? Although it was common in the restaurants to keep the stock pots going I must admit once the base soup had cooled I'd get it away into a fridge. I don't mind keeping it in a cool kitchen for a few hours if it's going to be eaten later that day. Anything else it's packed and into the fridge.
Back to your bubbles though. My grandmother used to do fermented veggies - mainly cauliflower hence my thought that your soup pot had started a fermentation process. I would have been inclined to smell first then taste a tiny amount to see if it was off.
Glad the curry was a success. I think that Tom Kerridge recipe is one of the best.
Unless it's outside somewhere plotting revenge!Think I have hoovered it up. Spotted something against the skirting board under the bed and whatever it was shot into the hoover. Cylinder has now been emptied outside! Don’t think I’ll be having any more low BG problems today!
It’ll be it’s friend that’s hiding elsewhere in the house that’s doing that. They always seem to come in 2’s when they attack my houseUnless it's outside somewhere plotting revenge!
Evening all. As far as Mondays go today’s a rather fabulous one. More new clothes bought and yet another size smaller - actually almost cried in the changing rooms!
Thank you! I was a size 18 end of August last year. I’ve just bought size 10, so dropped 4 sizes. Never in a million years expected thatYay! It's a great feeling isn't it! Well done! How many sizes have you dropped? Your avatar is amazing and really shows how far you've come.
Wow! No wonder you were so emotional! I've dropped from a size 18 to a 12-14, but still a way to go before I'm happy.Thank you! I was a size 18 end of August last year. I’ve just bought size 10, so dropped 4 sizes. Never in a million years expected that
