Just heard from eldest daughter that they are all back home safe and happy - a 6 hr outing to do a 10 mile there and back trip! Bet its all melted by tomorrow, girls are obviously hoping for a snow day so they can stay home and play in it.
Thanks for your good vibes all
Wonderful newsJust heard from eldest daughter that they are all back home safe and happy - a 6 hr outing to do a 10 mile there and back trip! Bet its all melted by tomorrow, girls are obviously hoping for a snow day so they can stay home and play in it.

I have one knife, it does everything I need to do when cooking.. I sharpen it every time that I use it. For dead thin things and shredding, a Japanese Mandalin. For ginger of course, just the end of a teaspoon.A good, sharp, stiff knife is important for chopping cleriac, swede and the like. Ceramic or flexible knives aren't really suitable.
I'm also manic about keeping knives sharp. Of course, I've had the odd (or several) cuts.
Busy today. We are going away for the weekend, self catering, so need some propper food.
So, made coconut macaroons, sugar free chocolate, a loaf of bread, a dozen egg muffins.
Food today;
Lunch at 1300 - 2 eggs and a bit of bacon.
Dinner at 1800 -roast pork belly, broccoli, spirolised courgette with leek sautéed in butter, no carb gravy.
Pudding - a very large glass of Merlot.
Just sorting out my old football rattle in readiness for Question Time.
I’m having second helpingsI love your pudding!!
So glad all Arctic explorers safe and well, all football rattles sorted (if I even know what you were talking about ....), glad to meet you @jayney27 , fasts fasted, OMADs had, much deliciousness prepared and consumed, Double Pilates neat with a water chaser done, and all the other things I've left out!
Yet another in a string of frustrating days. Sleeping problematic, leg cramps not helped by weather change just around the bend, which sets off my right S-I joint and the 9,000 trigger points it has created over the decades, and clearly weird BGs! Just for grins, and in AMerican but it doesn't make any difference, it's the swooping effect that's what stands out:
FBG (and pre-bfast) 124
PP bfast 130 (very acceptable for 124) and that counted for pre-lunch figure because it takes forever to eat bfast and I get up later and later and later in search of sleep
PP lunch 107. What?????? Is it the extra water I drank (I have this theory that for me, not drinking "enough water for my blood" causes high numbers. If you evaporate a sugar solution, it will become more concentrated. Add water back in, and it's less concentrated.
Pre-supper........ 5 sticks, two fingers that would't bleed bc cold/Raynaud's, one ERROR on one of those (too small droplet) and these figures: 98, 90, 96. I went with 97. There was lots of water during the afternoon. I really think that not having to pee for the first 6 hours after bfast is not right, given my old normal water self. Oh right, there was another stick by accident, moving a used lancet around too fast. That one wouldn't *stop* bleeding!
Not whining, just... yes, whining. Somebody please slap me upside the head and tell me to pull on my big girl panties!
PP supper 104, went for walk then
Post walk 111
Bfast 1/2 avocado, boiled egg with mayo, decaf/little slurp of pre-made cocoa/cream concentrate/soy/cream. Needed more cocoa...
Lunch celery, 1 cherry tom, and big chunk of swiss cheese. One square 90% chocolate for depression. Not as good as I'd hoped...
4:15 now I know what an Americano is! Took Mom to S'bux, where I always order decaf. The barista told me, if I wanted it faster, I should order a tall decaf Americano. Let me tell you, that was a flavor revelation! I'd brought my thermal travel cup with soy and cream in it, so had a delicious little bev.
Supper wilted spinach in olive oil with parmeggiano and a tin of sardines, and some more parmeggiano. It's time to be finished eating now, go for a walk or soak my feet or whatever sensible people do after supper when they have an early dr appt the next day.
Sleep well all, if you're wise you're already asleep! Spring will come, yes it will.
ETA and there was a piece of 90% chocolate, and there will be some fat snack maybe buttered yogurt (don’t knock it til I’ve tried it!) in a few minutes.
Maybe its cheating but I grated the celaric, swede and carrot for soupA good, sharp, stiff knife is important for chopping cleriac, swede and the like. Ceramic or flexible knives aren't really suitable.

Welcome back @jayney27 , we missed you!Hello my fellow forum friends, to use @ianpspurs wonderful phrase I have experienced a major “oopage” but I feel it’s now time to get back on track and thought I would post here as this was where I left off and where I hope a warm welcome back will be found.
I am feeling a bit more like myself now and need to rid myself of the complacency I have allowed to creep into my world. Blood glucose has been surprisingly stable despite recent life’s up and downs but diet has been a little out of kilter so I’m hoping that getting back into the habit of confessing all here will be what’s needed to get me back into good habits and get the scales moving again.
Ain't no-one in the world don't have oopage sister. We missed y'all muchly and if we didn't all have oopage we wouldn't be here.
