I'm sure I've seen them in Morrison's.Thanks. I live in a village and have a small Morrisons and an Aldi nearby. Sainsbury’s is more of a trek. After some googling I suspect I might be able to get some in the Morrisons so will try at the weekend.
Hi all, don’t usually post here as I’m not technically low carb Anyway, no breakfast then a 20g lunch and I blew 60g at 5 Guys with @Goonergal because I ate the bun. @DJC3 we picked that venue as we both like the food.
You can’t beat that feeling! Well done you!Oh....and in other news, I tried on a size 12 pair of jeans in M&S today and they fitted! This time last year my size 18 jeans felt tight! Sorry to derail the thread with non food related stuff, but I have to share my joy!
@Chook once my cold started going, it left in a hurry. Hope yours does too!
@Listlad good for your daughter and Taekwondo!
@DJC3 grrr sorry about your high bg’s!
@BibaBee you sound like a very happy North Walesian camper! And WOW on weight/size loss!!!!
Congratulations on delicious OMAD @Caeseji
This Ikea thing is funny! They are few and far between here; I think we’d have to drive 2-3 hrs in the worst traffic on the East Coast to get there. We have any large chain hardware/etc store, or Bed Bath&Beyond. It’s the Beyond that gets you! Also anything in Lowes or Home Depot....
Cleaning and traveling day. Mr ZF sisters are whirlwinds and had time for a 4 mile walk. I be a lit-tle-slow-er so only walk will be .75 mi into town to catch the airport bus.
Bfast usual 1/2 avocado, egg, decaf/cream for 1 sq 90%.
Lunch while cleaning/packing a surfeit of celery stalks with almond butter
Snack 2 egg white muffin bakes from Starbux in airport
Supper piece of brown bread and last little chunk of Brie
We will draw a veil across late night lc-but-too-much-of-them snacking. Seaweed, cheese, almond butter. Argh.
Don't inhaleThanks for the crumble topping suggestions everyone, all as individual as you are!
I will probably take a pinch of all your ideas.
Don't inhale
We use Bulk Powders online but other retailers are always available.@ianpspurs and @shelley262 thanks for the info on inulin. Since Intake digestive enzymes it might not be for me but I could try it. Wheres best to buy it?
I loved my work. Hubby thought I had to be the only person in the UK that actually looked forward to getting up and going to work. I was devastated after my crash when they eventually told me I wouldn't recover sufficiently to return. Soon discovered though there was life after work.Being properly engaged at work, as opposed to turning up and taking the money, is so important to mental wellbeing, in my view. I'm really please so many facets of your life are pointing in such positive directions at the moment.
Long may that continue.
I make chia jam all the time, usually with frozen raspberries. It's delicious and super easy to make! In fact, I had a blueberry and raspberry chia jam with my breakfast this morning. Definitely recommend giving it a go.Brunch; 2 eggs, 2 rashers bacon, 1 round black pudding and koffy.
Dinner; remains of yesterdays stew with a 90 second mug bread..
This time, I soaked a small desert spoon full of chia seeds in 5 x volume of water and then incorporated into the mug bread mix and was rewarded with a nice, moist, mug bread.
Add on: tastes great toasted and smothered in butter.
For those using Chia , have a deco at this website - chia jam looks good:

Thank you! It would be a bit disingenuous to claim we were camping though! My parents' caravan is a static caravan with all mod cons.....central heating, cooker, microwave, hot shower! I think they tend to be described as trailer homes Stateside?!@BibaBee you sound like a very happy North Walesian camper! And WOW on weight/size loss!!!!.
I'm fond of that word too. Another 2 I use a lot is Scottish slang - I'm fair drookit. Extremely wet or wet through. They're very descriptive words.I love this word “lurgy”, which I’d never heard nor read until I saw it here. Is the “g” hard or soft?
The word is so... evocative. Germs partying, lurking, creeping, being gross, in my personal body. Ick!
IKEA? Mad dash? Not words I'd put together. I've often thought Segways would be good for getting around IKEA.Hi all.
Two meals today. Lunch was M&S Serrano ham and manchego cheese rollitos and a bag of their pork crackling. Also had tea with a very large pot of cream at a lunchtime meeting.
Dinner was 2 Waitrose free range Cumberland sausages, 2 fried eggs and 3 rashers streaky bacon
Off to Pilates shortly followed by a mad dash to Ikea.
Refrigerate them? I had a pie base that was not only soft - it moved! Refrigeration sorted it.Well my orange almond shortbread didnt turn out well. Its just ground almonds, melted butter and orange essence. I cut the cylinder thinly and got 21 biscuits the recipe said cook at 190 for 15 mins till light brown. I thought that temp was too high so did 180 but after 8 mins they were light brown so I turned oven right down to 120 and gave them 20. Ins in total. They smelt gorge but when they cooked they were soft and though I left them all day they didnt harden. So disappointed. If I was to try them again I would do half the quantity and cook in a much cooler oven. I dont think the fault was they were too thick. Any ideas welcome.
Mine is Tebay services (Westmoreland). Thankfully I dont pass it every week now.I completey understand the misery/ nostalgia over old eating habits. I felt the same when I realised I’d never again stop in a lovely National Trust cafe ( or any other tea shop) for tea and cake!
I really don’t mind now though, I don’t know when the transformation occured but I’m happy it did.
Sympathies re cheese- it’s happened to me loads of times!
I see you've had a few replies. I use a mix of almond flour, flax meal, granulated sweetener and cubes of cold butter. Method the same as I've always made crumble combine the butter into the dry ingredients quickly. Like @ianpspurs suggestion too re blowtorching inulin.Has anyone made crumble? Do you just substitute almond flour?
