My only memory of New York was en route to Houston from Manchester (I think it was) where I had to get a connecting flight. Huge airport, I seem to recall. But I also remember taking off and seeing the Statue of Liberty at night while doing so. It was quite a picture. So jealous. I am in love (obsessed) with New York. 13 night stay coming up in the summer
Ha. I thought the same.Always ask if unsure. *** is Nando's and what may I expect if I catch one in the wild - shoot it/skin it or what?
Thanks for that. About as useful to me as a Tutu but may be useful one day.Ha. I thought the same.
I noticed one in the Trafford Centre years ago. It was always queued out the door. It aroused my curiosity. This place is blooming popular, I thought. Then we both decided to give it a try, in Bolton. Again, massive queues. I said to the guy managing the queue, this food must be very good, what’s the secret? He said “Chicken n chips, mate”. And he was right. But they do the chicken how Mrs Listlad likes it. So no contest there. What I didn’t know is that you can get low carb options there.
Oh no. I wear a tutu all the time. Thanks for that. About as useful to me as a Tutu but may be useful one day.

@ianpspurs Do you mean too carby or you can’t physically get to one?
Ah. Ian, apologies there. It wasn’t easy but I did manage to find a lower carb offering. It was all chicken, cheese, avocado and some beans and greens (lettuce, kale). It was as low carb as I could find. I did only go because my wife enjoys their food and it was Mother’s Day.Guess I could get to one - if'n I wanted to either go to places I really don't want to go to or areas of places I generally avoid like the plague. Also, why eat out just to have chicken?
OK. What is the SP on this whipped cream and almond butter? Are there ratios/protocols to observe and what are the assumed benefits - does 1 make the other palatable?

Thanks for that @Chook. I don't think I am brave enough to make that today but I can see how the cream will make the almond butter less salty and clingy. 150 ml of cream seems quite a lot to me - I'll see what 150 mls of water looks like.It depends on your version of palatable. I enjoy it and I find it filling but i know i enjoy things that you don't like.. I believe the idea behind it is to increase your fat intake. @Goonergal knows more about that sort of thing than me.
i don't think there is a proper recipe - all I do is put 150ml extra thick double cream in to a small bowl and a very heaped teaspoon of almond butter - and add a bit of sweetener to taste - then beat it with with a very small whisk or teaspoon until its thick and well blended (think mousse texture).. Then eat. I think @Goonergal adds chocolate to hers but I am still on my quest to find a suitable chocolate that I like.
You can make it with normal double cream but it takes much longer to whisk and there is a risk of RSI.
I also find that it serves as a dessert for those days when I crave something 'sweet' after dinner. It is only a couple of tea spoons but hits the spot!@ianpspurs I forgot: my known benefit of the nut butter/cream or yogurt mix is that it’s the perfect pre-ballet class boost. Filling but not large, easily digested or something that behaves like easily (i.e. no bellyache from too much or wrong kind of food right before physical effort), easy to eat while driving, and doesn’t raise/dysregulate heart rate/rhythm.
