What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hi all
Breakfast sausage, bacon and egg
Lunch celery, bit of cheese and a few lc seeded crispbreads followed by two home grown strawberries in yoghurt
Dinner chicken curry with more crispbreads and two gin and soda waters with lime followed by lc lemon mousse with two more of my strawberries and bit more yoghurt. Now drinking decaf coffee in garden before I do a 10 min mindfulness session! Lovely cool breeze setting up here in the West hope it heads eastwards for all you living there. Temps dropping nicely.

He has strained his shoulder. MrSlim is not one to make a fuss, so the fact that he has been lying on the bed for three days is very worrying.

Very lazy day today, we are babysitting a very old dog and it’s just been too hot to go anywhere with her and Dennis so we all just lolloped about at home.
B: with visiting daughter and SIL as well as resident daughter and partner was smoked salmon scrambled eggs and avocado.
L: smaller portion of yesterday’s chicken Caesar salad. Sf jelly&cresm
D: again, leftovers - charcuterie olives and cheese. Glass of red. Joy of joys, found some Breyers salted caramel ice cream in the freezer.

Edit to correct autocorrect assumptions

Now it's not so much about what have we eaten today, as what are we going to eat tomorrow? Was going to make nut museli , but too hot to have the oven on, so didn't. Can't cook eggs, no gas. Gas bottle is too heavy for me to move, never mind lift into the car. Avocado and yoghurt? Maybe not.and for MrSlim, he can have croissant, from the freezer, defrosted, but not warmed. Well that's one meal sorted anyway.

Thanks. I will talk to my GP but the last week is not typical. More like a virus or hay fever lots of sitting about and dozing off.

Fatigue is another classic thyroid issue.

When mine is going downhill, I am cold (to the core, even in 38c), and I could sleep on a knife edge. I don't mean just a bit weary. I mean mean bone tired.

The thing with thyroid is it is often slow onset, so symptoms can creep up very gradually. Thyroid dysfunction is very common, but even moreso amongt those with diabetes.

Does he know how he did this, and has he seen anyone about it?

@dunelm. I wish I could be not very hungry! I nearly always am.
Today tea for breakfast
Cwc
Lunch huge portion of jerk marinated boned chicken with a spicy coleslaw and a large salad instead of the sweet potato fries.
White wine and sparkling water.
I watched OH and our friends eating Jersey ice cream so when we came back I had raspberries, blueberries and yoghurt.

Evening. Nuts and 1 slice LC bread with cheddar and Camembert. Tea.

He spent the previous day putting up plaster board walls in what will be our kitchen. Think he has overdone it. Too many twelve hour days. He is keen to get us into a reasonably habitable state before visitors arrive, in about a month. Until last week we were flushing with buckets and washing at the cold tap in the stable. Now have flushing loo, working hot shower and washhandbasin ( last one has a leak) only noticed after he was incapacitated. Shower room floor is bare concrete. Still no kitchen sink and cooking on an ancient calor gas stove.
No medical attention sought until today when he had telephone conversation with a nurse.

If he has been incapacitated three days, with no improvement, he needs to see someone, in my view. How does he feel when he gets up; say to use the loo?

Is he taking anything to ease the discomfort?

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch at Chop’d (Never come across this café before, this one was in St Pancras International as seeing my daughter off on Eurostar for six months in Brussels on an internship, part of her languages degree, I’m soooooo going to miss her ): Caesar salad with chicken, bacon, egg and Parmesan. I took off the croutons which were soft anyway!
Mid afternoon at Costa on the way home: I sobbed into a coconut cappuccino and tried to cheer myself up with a salted caramel phd bar.
Late Dinner: cold roast chicken drumsticks, cauliflower and broccoli, pork scratchings and coleslaw followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.

Evening all. OMAD again today, although I am sitting on a train with a couple of small bags of nuts in my daypack so that may change.

Lunch was a burger with cheddar, bacon, a fried egg and a tiny bit of onion. Not hungry since but that could be the heat - it was beyond hot in DC today. 98 degrees on the sign in the centre of town at 3.30pm.

@DJC3 3.5 days in and still no Five Guys!

Lunch yesterday: Pork snitty and veggies, couple of low carb beers at the club.
Dinner: Mutton chops, veggies. gravy.
Breakfast: Usual omelette, bacon, tomato, reheated spudlite.

Drinks: Black coffee no sugar / sweeteners, beer, water.
