You have to decide where you compromises lie, but you must believe in them or this "conversation" will play on a loop.
I'm getting thoroughly confused with the different kinds of pork things you seem to have in the UK. It's almost worse than the different names you have for different meals; dinner, supper, tea...All interspersed with 60g of pork crunch, and a couple of crafty pork scratchings.
Wow! I had no idea this existed!Crackling (the skin on a roast pork joint that goes crisp and hard and crunchy. Often eaten hot)

See how confusing it gets!Scratchings (the pork skin, cut into squares or strips, usually deep fried in lard, cooled and bagged like a packet of crisps)

Ah, my supermarket sells these as well, but they disappear all at once when I open the bag, so I try to avoid themCrunch (Much lighter and puffier, gets cooked hotter and quicker, so the fat renders out better, and you are left with a much lower fat content.)

This one seems perfectly clear and informative! Until you compare this information to the other sources that is...This link gives an overview

So is the crackling also called crackling when you buy it prepackaged in the bag? Pretty sure this is the one I prefer@Antje77
An alternative definition :
Crackling is likely to break your teeth
Scratchings definitely will break your teeth
Crunch may break your teeth but can be sucked until soft
Simples!
