Made some crackling to die for today. Underlying belly meat was pretty decent too.

@Mrs T 123 for one minute I thought you'd put strawberries and cream on you pizza! I had just put my blurry drops in though.

Saturday 5 November bed 7.9 FBG 7. The day for scaring all the poor animals. Hopefully the fireworks don't go on all week. Boys were remarkably good at jujitsu too.

B. TAG and a bit crustless quiche.

L. Slice of ox tongue and a Coconut Collaborative little chocolate pot.

D. Cold cuts. Ox tongue, pork and egg, ham, haslet, coleslaw, waldorf salad. DGF Christmas pie.

In between lunch and dinner I did have a Coconut Collaborative dipped snowconut stick. I'm going to shorten to CC now. I think they'll be around a while!

Small ff greek and redcurrants before yoga
Avoided cake at local coffee morning
L: a mix of eggs, cream cheese and cheese cooked in the sandwich toaster. Sort of a chaffle omelette thing.ok for a change but quite a lot of faff.
Pm nibbled too many things while preparing tonight's lasagne
D: lasagne made with cabbage leaves and sliced cheese in place of the lasagne sheets. 2 glass red wine.
1 very small scoop ice cream.
Trouble was I didn't need any of the dinner. If I'd have been on my own it would have been easy to skip and fast, but I find it impossible when it's a family meal.

Ate 4 hours ago and still feeling overstuffed

Breakfast skipped
Lunch... Omelette with chorizo, spring onion, mushrooms, chilli and cheddar.
Dinner... Prawn and Okra curry, a little portion of rice to check what it does with my glucose level.
1.5 pints of water. 3 black teas.
The small portion of pasta I had last night really did very little to my glucose level, certainly did not take it up above 4.8 which was very surprising as it was 5.9 on waking. I am testing rice tonight. Before anyone getting excited about the pasta reading, it was a small portion, about 20% of what I used to eat! Rice will be the similarly small tonight. With my new new LC diet it has made me realise the ridiculous portions I have been eating in the past.
Glucose before dinner 5.1..... 2 hours after 6.8!!!... So rice really is a big no no!...... even if it is a small portion!

Baked beans on toast for breakfast.
Roast rolled rib and mixed veggies, finished the last bit of dragon fruit with some L/L sorbet for lunch.
Cold beef and h.e. mustard sandwiches for supper at six.

Glass and a half of single malt (sound like a choco advert), before bed. Slept well according to the watch 6¾ hours, some light, some restfull recorded.

That crackling looks awesome!!... I made some a few weeks ago, but not as good as yours that time. I am experimenting on doing it a few different ways... Salt over night... Tiny pin prick holes in the skin... No holes in the skin....Air fryer...fan oven...What I have found that is delicious is scoring the meat side and rubbing in some Chinese 5 spices and a little salt. I had mine with steamed bok choy with a little garlic and then suateed with some sesame oil and light soya. You are supposed to add Oyster sauce to the bok choy, but that has sugar in it, so I skipped the oyster sauce.. Not as tasty, but still delicious!

Breakfast: slices of ham and cheese.

2nd meal: will be fried chicken thigh and a cucumber salad. I think I will actually make it this time because I am busy cooking already - things for other people to eat, so am on my feet (intermittently with plenty rests in between) and should be still going long enough to make my meal.

B- 3 fried eggs on wilted spinach with grated parmesan on top
L/D - all the family round for a lovely change so it felt very festive. Slow cooked beef brisket (130C overnight in a tent of foil - what a fabulous smell to wake up to) cheesy leeks, broccoli and shredded sprouts with smoked bacon lardons. Cheese and h/m seedy crackers to follow, few(!) glasses of wine.
I’m on black tea now. Determined to get used to it.

Yum!!!
Are you using a sugar substitute with you black tea? I found that Stevia tastes a bit less chemically than Canderel.

Test before dinner 5.1....... Veal stroganoff, cauliflower rice. Sprouts, kale and bacon. Moka Irish coffee with Kalua. Cauliflower mash worked better the other day, than the Cauli rice tonight.
Test 2 hours after dinner 4.9, despite the irish coffee!

Skipped breakfast as penance for over eating yesterday.
L: lasagne left over from last night. Ff greek with chopped pecans and 2 squares dark coffee 72 % choc I got in the States

A freezer audit found some cubes of soemthing chocolaty and home made. A few tastes later and remembered I tried my choc raspberry ice cream with sour cherries, trying for a black forest flavour. Not quite as the cherries were quite tart and I can taste sweetner, but very nice all the same.

D: roast chicken with sprouts, caulifower, leeks and cabbage and gravy. 1 small spoon stuffing.
2 more cubes of hm lc cherry choc ice cream

I did manage to make my meal and eat it. I was very hungry and ate too much. Suddenly felt very bloated and ill - daft to eat so much, knowing how touchy my stomach can be. Then it really let me know how it felt (incredibly fast "transition" - so bad I had to cancel my weekly phone date with my brother) and am now pretty empty. Taking no further chances until tomorrow because it is still threatening.

Three egg and cheese omelette with leftover chicken mixed in the brew, two slices vegimite on toast for breakfast.
Blade steak, fried onions and tomatoes, mixed salad, no local fruit left in the fridges, so a tub of low sugar pineapple and pears with L/L sorbet for lunch.
JOs fish cakes for supper at six as was not feeing very hungry.

Glass of single malt (Laphroaig 10 yo that I got for fathers day in September), gotta make it last.

No sweetener, I gave up sugar in tea a few years ago. Im not very keen on any of the artificial sweeteners, and I agree with you about the chemical taste of canderel.
I am getting used to black tea… slowly.
