Had to get a car tyre replaced first thing as there was a nail in it and a slow puncture - so was out and only had black coffee until lunch.
1ish mushroom and cheese omelette with some kimchi followed by garden berries and yoghurt and the last two hotel chocolat 70% cocoa chocolates ( thankfully managed to give others away - too addictive) only 100% chocolate doesn't trigger me to eat more.
Mid pm LC cake - think the sweeter chocs triggered a desire for something sweet so although I try not to snack it was at least low carb!
5ish LC wrap with confit of duck and salads - had my first home grown tomato this season I grow them outdoors in a South facing sheltered spot - I think that many supermarket tomatoes don't taste anything like home grown tomatoes. Luckily looks like a good harvest just need some more sun.

Made a pic of my meal yesterday, forgot to post, so here it is:

1691435812785.png

Spicy green beans with lots of garlic and hot sauce, and 'fish fillet à la bordelaise' from Aldi. Which isn't too bad on the carbs at all, at 8.2 grams for a 200 gram portion, and it has strong fish finger vibes. I like fish fingers!
Oh, and it's cheap too at 3,49 euros for two large or 3 moderate portions.

Today I had the other half of the fish and yesterdays leftover beans with a quick salad of a large tomato, some onion, and olives with salt, pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Skipped breakfast, then exercise class and coffee (herbal tea for me) with friends after.
Found an elderly neighbour struggling to walk home so by the time I'd helped her and got her her lunch I finally ate about 1 :30.
2 slices Hilo bread toasted with cheese in the air fryer, with added ham.

Quick errand to top end of village, bumped into someone else I needed to see so its been a very satisfying , neighbourly day. Celebrated with a mini icecream

Dinner, as most Monday, a using up of leftovers. Combined my chicken with cooked veg , teaspoon of garam masala and tablespoon greek yoghurt. Called it curry, served with bottom of the fridge veg rice. Boys had similar but using up a jar of thai red curry sauce that I found too processed for me, amd they had rice.
Couple of sqs 85% chocolate

Sunday 6 August - bed 7 FBG 7.6. @PenguinMum - how can a chef get scrambled egg so wrong?? Very off-putting. @DJC3 - you have no idea! They've now discovered that they can use Bixby from my mobile through the car system. The latest commands are now "Bixby, tell me a joke!". Preferable to windows, fans, and sounds in constant movement. Regrettably, Hey Toyota, tape grandsons mouths up, is not an acceptable command!

B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with ham and a cheese triangle. Benecol dairy free.

L. Nothing

D. Usual campari and soda. Cajun chicken breast with salad, mushrooms, and I found another of the SRSLY wrap parmigiana circles I'd made. CC little chocolate pot.

Today, I also found out the eldest had changed the wake-up on the car from Hey Toyota to Hey Dingus! I'm still trying to find "off" for the radio in this digital maze!

I'm so glad I have an old-fashioned car with none of these gadgets - not even Satnav. If we want to go somewhere we find a map. Not that we go far these days. Glasgow is generally the farthest and we know the way there.

Edit: And even on the Island, you can't go far wrong - there is only one road around the major part of the Island plus one turn-off which goes to the northern part. Then another one which cuts off southwards to Harris. You just keep going on your chosen road until you find the village you want.

Hello everyone. Very comforting to know I have been missed @Annb and @PenguinMum. I had a lovely time with my son and 2 weeks ago had a nasty fall in my garden. Am still badly bruised and suffering and I'm sorry to say, comfort eating. So I have a lot of work and thinking to do! My levels are high-ish but I feel sluggish. So today I am having stuffed garlic mushrooms and chicken. Fingers crossed I can get back into it.

Monday 7 August - bed 7 FBG 6.1 @RosemaryJackson lovely to see you back. As someone who is prone to a tumble, you have my sympathy. I hope you fully recover soon.

B. Just TAG. This is early Aqua day, and I was going straight to Physio afterwards.

L. Very late on....some of M&S dinky chicken sausages. After Physio, I had to sit with the boys for 15 mins until DIL got home as my son was leaving early to play at a wedding in Lockerbie. Shopping happened after that.

D. In between dropping/picking up swimming grandson at swimming club, a SRSLY pizza with ham, tomato, cheese. CC little chocolate pot and the other half of that fulfil bar. Moretti Zero.

It was very unintentional to eat within a 3 hour window, but it didn't bother me.

Hug for the fall and consequent suffering. But a winner for getting back onto the way of eating.

Good to see you back. Take care and hopes for a quick recovery.

Home grown tomatoes have that distinctive smell too. Always triggers wonderful memories of grandad‘s greenhouse.

@RosemaryJackson sorry to hear about your fall - welcome back and hope you feel better soon.
Black coffee till lunch
1ish two boiled eggs with two Swedish crispbread followed by a few garden berries and yoghurt
Mid pm LC cake
5ish LC wrap with pulled pork and salads - more tomatoes harvested today delicious I've got a range of different types favourite I think are the small 'black' ones. Ps the black olives in salad are ones I often have in fridge for salads I add drained and dried olives to olive oil and also put in garlic cloves in the Kilner jar I use to store them. @MommaE I agree about the smell even the outdoor ones have a wonderful evocative smell - part of the pleasure. Also had small glass of red wine.

Tuesday 8 August - bed 7.9 FBG 7.1. Schools go back a week tomorrow. Grandson requested a trip today for Guinea supplies. I was heading to the Fort anyway, so it wasn't an issue.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with scrambled egg (no shell @PenguinMum !) Benecol dairy free.

L. Remains of the Dinky chicken sausages.

D. A fishy mix. I had bits of smoked hake, cod, salmon, prawns, and queenie scallops in the freezer. Done with herbs and a white wine sauce and a mix of crumbed SRSLY artisan loaf/parmesan to top it.

CC little chocolate pot and 3 strawberries. Gin and zero lemonade.

I know I shouldn't, but M&S had the tutti fruity grapes in yesterday. I had a few of them. I may succumb if they get the Muscat grapes in again.
