What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Thursday 7 December - bed & FBG Both 7.7

B. TAG, and a change today, LC granola with sugar-free coconut milk. Benecol dairy free.

L. Nothing - at Aqua.

D. SRSLY pizza base, to which I added tomato, mozzarella, and ham. CC little chocolate pot with raspberries (I've restocked).

Gardeners were here to give our tree and shrubs their winter "haircuts." Grandson, when he came for lunch, caught this photo of a Robin perched on a newly trimmed shrub.

Friday 8 December - half day Friday bed 7.6 FBG 7.8

B. TAG and a bit crustless quiche. Benecol dairy free.

L. Nothing. Day was going from bad to worse. Having collected a few parcels from Boots, I had to fight my way through the traffic again as one of the boxes was empty! 2nd visit with the empty box finally resulted in Boots HO reordering the missing item. I had ordered 2 and there is no way it would have fitted in the empty box. The Boots manager that sorted everything said the same thing. I'm now short of 2 presents that we're ordered well in advance.

D. Crispy sea bass with tomatoes & sprouts. CC little chocolate pot.

B- crispy omelette, avocado and kimchi.
L-don’t think I had any. Took granddaughters to the skate park while I walked round the fields with Dennis, it was so unbelievably windy they didn’t need to skate, just got blown around, as did Dennis and I. @shelley262 having rescued our dustbin a few times I ended up putting it in the garage.
D- beef stroganoff with green beans. Glass of red.

Breakfast- almond milk coffee 2 cups, edamame, 2egg white omelet, veg curry, 50 grams peanuts.
Lunch - flax seed bread - 1 slice, edamame. Almond milk coffee
Snack - Almond milk coffee
Dinner - cauli rice spicy porridge, salad, Mutabal(brinjal paste with tahini).

Hi all, hope everyone’s last minute preps are going well if you are celebrating Christmas
Yesterday
B Yog and a few blueberries
L Xmas lunch with hubby at Côte Brasserie tried to make good choices. Starter Salmon tartare with beetroot, Main turkey wrapped in bacon, green beans, broccoli and red cabbage. Spoonful of pot. dauphinoise, first potatoes since May. Shared cheeseboard, no bread, slice of fig, glass of dry white wine
D HM courgette and spinach soup

Breakfast: bacon sandwich with wholemeal bread.

2nd meal: Palestinian food. Turns out to be a recipe Alistair is cooking and then will bring a plate of it to me. Not a restaurant dish and no guests to cater for. All to the good. However, Alistair is working so hard at the moment - and such long hours - that I am doubtful about when the meal will be. I think I might have to have a snack to keep me going.

Just had a phone call. Alistair is stlll out on his delivery and may not be finished until after 8 this evening. The family is going to get fish suppers and do I want them to bring me one. I declined. Trying to remember what I bought for myself to have this evening. Have to check the fridge and see what's there.

House full of food and time in an aspirational cafe then deli but a skip fire of a food day in many ways. I may never learn.
Tea then a babybel - ok fairly normal
2 slices buttered KC bread toast and an Advent calendar cheese - Applewood. Still on track
CWC with 4 grandchildren and #3 son before collecting turkey and trimmings, cheese and fish orders - that was the time to eat
Adonis bar and tea as by 5.00 pm I was ratty even by my standards. Eating high carb or even more sodium (cheese) would have been the lesser of two evils. Plot well and truly lost.
Rainbow Trout “feelay” salad (leaves mainly, 2 large tomatoes, mushrooms, Stokes tartare sauce, KC MS Roll n butter, KC faux mince pie tray bake. I tried, lord knows I tried, but the DGF sweetener is awful for me. Last order was 1 bite then binned the lot. We are all different - accepting what we can actually bear to eat is the key.

Wouldn't be Christmas without the rushing around! Collected turkey and meat and last fresh bits today always a good feeling to have a full fridge. I left Christmas ham slow cooking throughout the day so could glaze and finish off in the oven.
First thing before heading out kefir and supplements
Lunch hm soup and a third of a satsuma
Dinner a few slices of my Christmas ham with salads and glass of dry white wine followed by DGF crumble

Picking up youngest and our granddog first thing in am and a busy but much looked forward to special few days ahead so won't be posting again until after Christmas now so will take opportunity to wish you all a wonderful happy holiday. @sueh21 Id like to see your willow stars, they sound lovely. Could you maybe post a photo of one (with a plate of food in front to stay on topic?)

Breakfast: 2 fried eggs on a slice of wholemeal toast.

Due to overworked (and underpaid) postie, the Palestinian dinner didn't materialise yesterday so I found some beef stew in the freezer. Not exciting, but it was allright.

2nd meal: might be that Palestinian food or trout with shredded Brussels sprouts maybe as a salad or braised - depends on how late I find out what is happening about the availability of the postie/chief cook/bottle-washer

Alistair didn't finish work until about 9 pm yesterday. At least the family had eaten fish and chips so he didn't have to cook but there was laundry work to be done and then starting work at 6 am today. Don't know how much sleep he managed to get - it's usually only a couple of hours, even when his main job doesn't take so long.
