What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Very busy day yesterday, doing all kinds of stuff.
Brought chicory and hummus, and LC bread with Muenster with me so I had that during the day.

Evening meal was the same quick meal as yesterday, more LC bread with marmite, fried turkey eggs and Muenster cheese, this time with two eggs.

Right before bed a generous portion of crisps to prevent the weekly nighttime hypos. Didn't work this time, went hypo anyway but still had a lovely night.
Where is the hug shopping centre we'd all like to go there !
Have you searched in the back of your garden?
Works for me!
Maybe that’s where @Antje77 has been going
Yup! :joyful:

Skipped breakfast as out to early yoga.

Brunch at 11, 2 soft boiled eggs with hm lc soda bread soldiers. Some leftover shwarma chicken. Half a protein pot dessert, hazelnut latte flavour.

Trying to update the kitchen a bit. Painted the kick boards. Should have been easier than it was. We have 2 types of cabinet paint and one paints like tar and the second is too light both in coverage and colour. At least it kept me active, lots of bending.

D: cheeses and some leftover shwarma meat mixed with mayo. Bit of salad.
Second half of the dessert pot. Supposed to be sugar free but the sweeteners feel very sticky.

Earlier today a fishy mayo thing on LC bread, I still love this newly discovered bread. :)

Evening meal was shawarma meat fried with onion, on a slice of LC bread with raw endive and some more onion, with a generous serving of garlic sauce (mayo, garlic, drop of water).
No insulin taken for it, the bread was meant to nudge my BG up a little because I kept dropping despite having taken a very low amount of insulin for my usual two beers.

I'm expecting some crisps before bed will be wise tonight, no matter if I sleep at home or with my neighbour, and I'll start lowering my basal tonight.

Yesterday breakfast was lc toast with egg, six blackberries and chia seed “pudding”
Lunch, Cheese and cucumber on lc bread with pickled red cabbage
Dinner, cauliflower shawarma, zhug, cucumbers, arugula, tomato with lemon tahini sauce on half regular naan. Declared delicious by all.

Today is rainy so probably knitting and seed transplanting.
breakfast, peppers, onion and egg on zucchini fritter with hollandaise sauce
Lunch, lc sandwich of cheese, cucumber and tomato
Dinner will be Mahi Mahi in lemon spinach and artichoke sauce. A recipe I haven’t made before but I have half a jar of marinated artichokes to use.
I’ve baked a grape and citrus cake for those who will eat it. Mainly because I love baking, feeding others and had bags of frozen grapes to be used up before this summers vines start producing again.

have a lovely weekend everyone.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and an Aldi protein bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and another carb killa bar.
Dinner: prawns with Marie Rose sauce on a low carb roll with a side of coleslaw. No sunshine to ripen my second avocado :(

Often it's over a week or even 10 days for mine. Some never seem to soften, just go straight from hard to bad. :( I buy the small ones so there's less to throw away if that happens.
Perhaps I've been lucky @MrsA2. Although supermarkets have the purchasing power, independent greengrocers, if you're fortunate to have one within striking distance, know how to look after avocados.

I was introduced to avocados early in life. Grandpa was ex-services and had developed a liking for them whilst stationed in Jamaica. Back in the day, they were not widely available here in the UK and I remember my parents making a lengthy detour to a high class greengrocer in Covent Garden in order to buy Grandpa's avocados. Whilst good quality, grandpa always maintained that they couldn't quite match the flavour of those he'd enjoyed in Jamaica.
