Well, it's definitely ceviche weather @DJC3 and I enjoy red gurnard. Pity about the sweetness though, ditto the salad dressing.Low carb coconut porridge for breakfast.
Out all day and wasn’t hungry for lunch until around 4pm. Had some nuts and cheese to tide me over until evening meal out.
Dinner at a Gastropub: Starter: ceviche of gurnard. It was lovely and very pretty but there was a sweetness to it so I expected the later rise in BG. Main meal was steak, chips swapped for salad but I forgot to stipulate no dressing. It was sweet also. View attachment 68876
I've tried them but don't really like them. As I said, I quite like the curly lettuce so I stick to that. I have digestive problems and a lot of herbs give mme problems so I stick to a safe few.Chicory, watercress or rocket make a change from lettuce @RosemaryJackson. Then there are some lovely, easy-to-grow culinary herbs that transform shredded lettuce, as does a home-made, piquant salad dressing,.
Perfectly understandable @RosemaryJackson. I enjoy cucumber especially in warm weather, but have to watch the quantitiy otherwise it repeats on me and causes bloating.I have digestive problems and a lot of herbs give me problems so I stick to a safe few.
So sorry to hear that @RosemaryJackson. A boiled egg is just what the doctor ordered.Morning all. I don't feel at all well today so am not going for a carvery. I might just have some boiled eggs or something simple. Ryvitas with cheese. Have as good a day as you can.
Annoying I suppose, but look on the bright side @DJC3. Your nondiabetic family might have polished it off and your need is greater,I also made @LivingLightly ‘s Nordic bread to take but annoyingly forgot it! I’ve now sliced and frozen it.
