Yes @DJC3, The optional brewers yeast is purely for flavour.it you happen to like the taste,Thank you this looks delicious, I can’t wait to try it. Is the optional brewers yeast more for flavour then as the bread isn’t proved before cooking?
Not keen on lettuce? @RosemaryJackson. Why not try rocket, chicory, lamb's lettuce, mustard cress, sweet cicely, water cress or baby spinach leaves instead?Morning all. Beautiful sunny day. Yesterday... 1 wholemeal roll with cheese and coleslaw at lunchtime; tea... roast chicken with veg and strawberries for afters. 2 coffees, one with a drop of Baileys. Today I have the rest of the chicken to make a quiche (without pastry) with spring onions, peppers, and cauli, broccoli and of course, eggs. I'll have that with salad. Not keen on lettuce but I quite like the curly type.N![]()
Yes @DJC3. It's easy to make and there's nothing quite like the aroma that greets you when you open the oven door an hour later.Thank you this looks delicious, I can’t wait to try it.
Hi. I've tried chicory, rocket, lamb's lettuce watercress and spinach. I've never seen sweet cicely but I do eat quite a lot of mustard cress. Not keen on lettuce? @RosemaryJackson. Why not try rocket, chicory, lamb's lettuce, mustard cress, sweet cicely, water cress or baby spinach leaves instead?
Oh and I meant to post this grain free low carb granola I noticed in a very large M&S Food Store on my travels. Yet to check in my small M&S Simply Food to see if they stock it.

Chicory, watercress or rocket make a change from lettuce @RosemaryJackson. Then there are some lovely, easy-to-grow culinary herbs that transform shredded lettuce, as does a home-made, piquant salad dressing,.Not keen on lettuce but I quite like the curly type.![]()
I often add a cinnamon stick or two to my cauliflower rice @IanBish together with some black cardamom seeds, if it's to be served with an Indian dish.Today, on the hottest day of the year so far (in the UK), I had a chicken & mushroom curry, surrounded by a small ring of basmati rice. I made the curry yesterday. From scratch. No jars were harmed in the making of this curry. And while the recipe, that I loosely followed, didn't mention cinnamon, I was glad I put some in. It wasn't that hot, but I enjoyed it.
