B. Red berries with Greek yoghurt

L. Pomegranate pot and Stilton

D. Chicken leg, sprouts, carrots, onion and gravy. 6 strawberries with yoghurt

First proper roast meal at friend'a house yesterday. Tough I find asking for low carb, but ignored things I felt too high.

She baked a flourless chocolate cake, said it was low carb too so I tried it. Couldn't test until hours later, seemed ok - but high today. Just tried another piece (she gave me leftovers) a whopping 12.0 two hours after eating. No-one knows low carving like a low carb :) but it's a little rude to ask for an ingredients isn't it :) just won't risk it next time!

Bit of a dilemma at friends, but don't be shy to ask in a restaurant. My DD gave me a heads up yesterday, she is working in a restaurant till xmas, so she can buy me a pressie :) She told me to be careful of restaurants offering sweet potato chips as an alernative to the humble spud , apparently frozen ones are coated in flour so they 'crisp' up :banghead:

On topic sunday

L: A fry up, Black pud, bacon, toms, and egg
D: Roast Pork, a couple of small roast pots, snip, carrot and sprouts, then I licked the spoon from the apple crumble, yuk that's sweet!

Yesterday (Sunday):

Brunch - scrambled eggs, grilled kipper

Dinner - roast pork belly with roasted and steamed veg; a few berries and cream

Today - its Mr C's one day off this week, so:

Breakfast: Eggs, bacon, sausages, grilled tomato and a spoonful of baked beans
Lunch: Nothing
Dinner: Mr C is cooking - steak, stir asparagus, green sprouting broccoli and mange tout and - experimental this - aubergine 'pizzas' (just rings of aubergine grilled until tender then topped with tomato topping, olives and mozzarella baked in the oven until golden).

Forgot

Snack: Fresh dates - wow, they are fab but (wow again) they really affected my BS - I was hoping it would be different to get the fresh ones and not the ones covered in glucose.... wrong!

Agree about asking in restaurants - some of them are clueless :)) or say - "oh we have gluten free" - generally I avoid fries, I will occasionally have the real thing, just maybe 5 or 6.

I also had a bit of real Yorkshire pudding too yesterday. All bad really but I was a good boy all last week :)

Sunday
brunch - porridge and coffee :)
dinner - sort of aubergine bolognaise bake topped with cheese with broccoli and cauli on the side, then Greek yoghurt and berries.

snack - the other half of the pack of oloves with lemon from yesterday.

Today:

Breakfast: Bacon filled Lidl protein roll
Lunch: Nothing
Dinner: Ham, cheese and some salad OR Fathead pizza - can't make up my mind.

B: Tea with half a lemon and skimmed greek yogurt (with some coffee powder)
L: (at canteen) BLue shark with tomato sauce and a tomato with a bit of carrot and salad

You have a canteen that serves shark? Or is it a restaurant called Canteen?

Hello
I ate out at both lunch and dinner today.
B. Red berries with Greek yoghurt

L. Ploughmans lunch- ham, Harrogate blue cheese, a pickled onion and a gherkin, tomato, and 4 grapes.

D. At Indian restaurant. 1 popadom ( I just can't resist them) , chicken tikka starter with side salad, garlic chilli chicken. :)

Monday
breakfast - porridge with a swirl of yoghurt and ground flax seed
lunch - homemade pumpkin and veg soup
dinner - chicken breast in a commercial honey and mustard sauce, (carbs weren't too bad for a small portion and I added some almond milk) but I won't be having that sauce again, Mr G and I both agreed our tastes have changed since we began the new diet and it tasted far too sweet :( Broccoli, mushrooms and a few carrot rings on the side.
