What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Yesterday:

B: Scrambled egg, tomatoes and toasted sunflower seeds; coffee

L: Cheeses, walnuts, salad; strawberries and a tiny sliver of melon (out at a conference - I grazed where I could)

D: stir-fried squid and green veg

Today:

B: scrambled egg, black pudding, sausage, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, coffee (fry-up Friday in the canteen at work - hurray!)

L: too full from breakfast!

D: full of cold, so may snack on nuts and cheese before crawling into bed for an early night.

B water with some apple cider vinegar, 1 avocado, smoked salmon omelette cooked in coconut oil....
May have fathead pizza for dinner. Waiting for @Brunneria to tell us how that coffee and walnut cake went...
Husband made one yesterday. It looks delish, but we won't be eating it till tomorrow morning when a friend comes round for coffee...

oooh yes, the coffee cake.

Well, I don't eat or drink coffee any more, so can't tell you from personal experience.
But Mr B thought it was absolutely delish, and had it for breakfast several days in a row! hahaha!
It was HEAVY (think brick-like), and incredibly rich (so judge your slice size carefully), and I would expect a lot of the flavour to depend on what quality coffee you use, but he liked it so much that we wanted me to make another one, almost immediately.

Hello
B. Red berries with yoghurt

L. Melted Camambert and walnuts (at present I love this combination)

45 minutes swimming

D. Smoked haddock with cheese sauce and asparagus. Raspberries with yoghurt.

I have a pomegranate pot for later.:)

Oh God I'm so sorry, I forgot you don't have coffee anymore. Grovel.

Jeepers Creepers - just been reading some of that thread from the person who wonders why we are not all on the Newcastle Diet to cure ourselves. Love to know what was said before it was edited! Are there trolls on the forum ? Some are very superior and argumentative. Ah well nice to be in a place that is cosy......
B. 2 scrambled eggs with parsley black coffee and a swirl of cream. Think I had 2 crispy bacon rashers too. (After a whole afternoon and evening with 2 active boys your brain starts to fail. Longing for Mum and Dad to come home so I can go home to bed)
L. Leftover from Diet Doctor frittata from yesterday. This is a good next day recipe. Quick blast in microwave and it was nicely warm.
D. Had to carry something with me as I had errands with the munchkins and was going straight to their house so was out from 2pm (and still am but at least the munchkins are asleep)
Packed dinner was romaine lettuce, mozzarella pearls, 3 walnuts, 3 mini plum tomatoes, little bit of M&S roast chicken slices and good old helmanns.
This was Aqua Fit day but I'm struggling now - really want to go home.

B. Crispy streaky bacon rashers and fried egg
L. Coffee and walnut cake.. Thanks @Brunneria :)
D. 2 sausages and cauliflower mustard mash
S. Piece of cheese and all the talk of Zero Fanta on the forum reminded me I had one in the fridge so I had to sample it .

This is amazing, yes it is heavy and brick like but still delicious ( I did mine in a loaf tin and covered it with the icing)
It completely replaces a meal, and not sure if this is a coincidence but it seems to actually drops my BG :)

Todays menu

B. Crispy streaky bacon and fried egg
L. Coffee and walnut cake BG 5.9 before and 5.3 an hour later
D. Slow cooked paprika belly pork slices .. half inch slice walnut cake
An hour and a half later BG is 5.1
