What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Red berries with yoghurt

L. Ditch the carbs cheese crackers and Camambert

D. Indian restaurant. 1 popadom, king prawn tikka, chicken tikka both with salad.
Pomegranate pot.:)
 
Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs
Lunch: Nando's- half plain chicken, mixed leaf salad, coleslaw
Dinner: bolognese sauce, courgetti, topped with cheese

Drinks - 1 cup of tea (full fat milk), 1 Diet Coke, water

Finding it hard to get the fasting level down and always go up before breakfast- I'm not hungry when I wake up so eat an hour or two later.

I used to have the same issue, until recently my DP seems to have dissapeared and i have no idea why tbh, but i did find that a small amount of carbs and some fat often would help, i used to average 13+ on waking, i tried an oatcake with a scaping of butter and more often than not my fasting level would be between 9 & 10 ish. Apparently it gives your body something to work with, mught be woth a go

3lbs! So that's 4 over the 2 weeks and 22lbs in total. I thought it was 2lbs until I checked last week's. Still find it difficult to believe you can lose weight eating that much food. Cabbage rocks!
 
I had the oak cakeright before I went to bed BTW, left that bit out.
Thanks. The issue for me is the rise between the fasting level and breakfast. So this morning my fasting level was 7. A couple of hours later before breakfast (I'd only drunk water), it had shot up to 9. Only went down to 8.6 2 hours after eating. Seems to be no reason behind these higher numbers.

Breakfast: 2 fried eggs and 4 rashers streaky bacon
Lunch: Tiny pack (18g) pork scratchings
Dinner: Diet Doctor Home made burgers with a creamy tomato sauce and cabbage fried in butter

And a sneaky gin and diet tonic

Oh yum! I loved the burger day ......and mmmm cabbage (beginning to sound like Homer Simpson)
 
Because Mr C thinks he will lose weight while I'm following the CD Challenge (which he probably will) I'm also baking him a low carb date and walnut cake and some l/c lemon drizzle muffin/cupcakes AND a large baked ham marinated in fresh orange and honey which has a lovely crackling crust.

Busy morning - all this cooking and taking the dogs swimming because we realised the new dog has never swum before. There was actually ice on the far side of the canal but once Mr C threw a ball they still all went straight in. :) New dog did a lot of splashing before he got himself coordinated enough to swim and thoroughly enjoyed the water as any Labrador would.
 
6 p.m. Dinner

A hot toast made of with;

2 x 25 gr Slices of Home Made Gluten Free Whole Wheat Bread
25 gr 1/2 Fat Organic Cheddar Cheese

accompanied with really plenty of organic green rocket leaves
 
B. One egg this morning as when I cracked it yet again it was a double yolker . Had 2 rashers crispy streaky bacon and a chestnut mushroom. Black coffee with a dash of cream.
L. 1/2 slice of pork , slice Fire and smoke turkey, 3 walnuts and 2 mini cheeses.
D. Squid and vegetable 'tempura' , cauliflower rice, red curry prawns loads of veg.
Campari and soda and a white wine spritzer.

Lunch: Leftovers from last night's dinner: 2 homemade beefburgers with creamy tomato sauce and (maybe) cabbage fried in butter

Dinner: Quite big piece of salmon with a chilli, mayo and parmesan topping with spinach
 
B: Organic Chicken Sausage w/Mushrooms & Tomatoes fried in Olive Oil
Creamy Coffee x 2
L: Red Pepper Soup & Cheese & Carrot Salad w/Cucumber, Radish, Gherkins, Parsley, Avocado & Mayo
S: Macadamia Nuts, Blueberries & Raspberries
D: Curried Vegetables w/Spinach, Green Beans, Cauliflower & Red Peppers & Tomato, Onion & Mint Salad
½ Banana
S: Jelly w/Peaches & Cream

I'm more or less in sync with Chook
B. 2 scrambled eggs with parsley, 2 rashers crispy streaky bacon and 1 Herta chicken frankfurter. Black Tea. Had a black coffee with dash of cream and 2 walnuts pre breakfast before I ventured out to slither on ice with my crutch and defrost the car. Didn't stop the DP rise though.
L. Slice pork, slice Fire smoked turkey and 2 mini cheeses. 1 walnut and black coffee.
D. Same burgers as Chook with the creamy tomato sauce and steamed cabbage. Will add a little butter to it after.
(I have the salmon for tomorrow it is another yummy recipe) . I have the burgers stockpiled in the freezer so just have the sauce to make and steam the cabbage.
