L: as before, except no meat replaced with Avocado
D: crust-less flan, chorizo, mushrooms, red onions, cauliflower, cheese, double cream and soured cream, avocado-toms-cucumber-sorrel, salad, with some dressing, one choc and some rasps.... later... and a glass of white wine.

S: Pork scratchings;
D: home-made burger, small handful of chips, salad with mayo, strawberries and cream

Spiders, control freaks, untidiness, ignorance.
B: Small glass of goat's milk. 2 boiled eggs with a slice of Lidl HP roll, toasted with lashings of butter
L: Tin of tuna, houmous, olives, slice of Lidl HP roll toasted with butter and goat's cheese. 2 squares 90% chocolate
T: Lettuce, cucumber, avocado, roasted courgette, onion and aubergine with pesto, topped with feta
Followed by a cheeky small square of dark chocolate fudge brownie - oh my - gooey, chocolatey, sticky loveliness! (and not too sweet) Then followed with evening walk - blood sugar 4.5 on return - very happy with this!

Snack: Roasted peanuts and pistachios

Drinks: Water and herb/green tea

Evenin' All,

B: 2x coffee n cream
L: hummus and 9 bar
L: roast chicken legs (2) followed by a Lidl hp roll with cheese and butter. Don't ask. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Probably be mainly greenery tomorrow, to compensate though...

L: 2 chorizo & red pepper quichelets, avocado, mayo

D: chicken breast stuffed with spinach & cheese, wrapped in bacon; cauli mash; tomato salad

Yesterday:
B- 2 eggs & 2 bacon, coffee with heavy cream
S- almonds
L- chicken cordon bleu (no breading) and brussel sprouts
D- apple & gouda pork sausage link, sautéed spinach and mushrooms
S- lemon cheesecake fat bomb

Today:
B- 3 fried eggs w/ mushrooms, coffee with cream
L- tuna/avocado/mayo with cucumber slices for dipping
S- coconut chia pudding, slice of cheddar (if needed)
D- ? I still have some apple/gouda links left over and I have a few zucchini in the fridge

B: was different Rasps, soured cream and pecans.... then two very slowly fried eggs and cup of black tea
L: standard, celery et al
D: chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with onions, apple and loads of cheese, with loads of cabbage finished with garlic and olive oil.
Water through out the day.
Now: coffee and a tot of rum..... and more water..... diddling in the night.... you bet.

Here goes...1st attempt.

Brekkie: Greek Yoghurt with some hazlenuts, walnuts and blueberries
Lunch: Salad with extra mature Cheddar and Wenslydale and Pizza Express House dressing
Dinner: BBQ'd Tuna steak with Salad w/vinagrette
Snakette: 2 squares Tesco Finest 85% Chocolate

S: buttered crispbread with pate, coffee & cream,

I do find that wine does affect me more than it used to... just as well we have no tolerance for OH groups and driving in Scotland.. just don't think about doing it.
Never feel hungry and never feel full.... it is odd.
The sun has finally showed up at 21:30.....

Brekky: 3 half boiled eggs. Black Coffee. More Black Coffee &..... A little more Black Coffee.
Dinner: Grilled Salmon, Broccoli, Red Pepper, Garlic, with Cherry Tomatoes and some pickled Mushrooms/Goat Cheese
topped off with Chilli Infused & Lemon Infused Olive oil. Couple of dollops of Full Fat Greek Yoghurt for dessert.

B green tea, oatmeal with skimmed milk,

L two boiled eggs and some chicken ( mixed parts white and fatty parts )

D Fetta cheese, few green olives, green tea and few pieces of whole grain crackers to get ready for my workout.

Keep water around all day long, maybe a piece of candy during or after workout to eliminate possible hypo. i always keep my blood sugar level in the norms despite the piece of sugar because of exercises.

Don't worry - there is no right or wrong! It's just that those of us who low carb do so (usually) for one of the following two reasons:

If we are type 1, its because the fewer carbs we eat, the less insulin used, and the smaller margin for error.

And if we are type 2, its usually because we rely on diet and exercise rather than medication to control blood glucose - so the lower carb we eat, the better we keep out hba1c down...

But it really depends on whether you get good control with a normal diet. If so, I can't imagine choosing to give up the carbs if you don't need to! ;)

If you know how much insulin is needed for what you eat, there is no reason not to treat yourself with potatoe salad, macaroni, a piece of cake or donut once in a while. If done once a meal a week, your blood sugar level will turn to normal in 24 hours. This takes a few weeks of trial and error, good measurement of sugar levels in blood, and you're done!
