B - 2 boiled eggs with butter
L - 15g 90% dark chocolate followed by a piece of goats cheese
D - got hijacked - I planned to have sea bass with salad but made a low carb coffee and pecan nut cake this afternoon so dinner became a slice of that with a dollop of cream
Drinks - 2x n'espresso with cream, sparkling water with fresh lime juice

Ps for anyone interested in my low carb cake recipe its
200g ground almonds, 6 eggs, 100g erythritol, 2 tsp baking powder, 2- 3 tsp vanilla extract. 1 shot of expresso ( or other strong coffee) 1 tbs extra thick double cream, 1 tbsp coconut flour 3/4 bag of pecan nuts. Mix all ingredients bar the nuts together with a stick blender to make a batter, pour into silicone baking mould, add the nuts, bake at 120 degrees for 45-60 mins
Works just as well if you use cocoa powder, berries, or apricots etc instead of the nuts and coffee

L: leftover cold beef burger, with 3 strawberries. not on the same plate.
D: Dr Oetker Gluten Free pizza. Apparently, now Mr B has learned that GF carbs aren't spiking me (see blue line in sig below) he believes that Pizza has become a macronutrient. Fortunately, neither of us thought very much of this pre-made pizza. He likes deep pan. I like adequate toppings. So neither of us were happy. I ended up adding tomato puree, olives, yellow pepper and quite a lot of cheese to get a sense that it was a meal, not a carb frisby. An entire pizza is approx 80g carbs. I ate mine in 2 halves, an hour apart, to spread the carb load, and was pleased with my blood glucose result.

Have been missing posting on this thread, so am going to continue to do so on days when my carbs are less than (approx) 100g a day. Which will be most days, because after decades of low carbing, the thought of higher carbs than that is pretty d%mn daunting!

Went out for breakfast at 10am (its my day off) and had a rather magnificent Gluten Free breakfast of bacon, beans, huge flat mushroom, huge baked tomato, scrambled egg, 3 sauteed new potatoes and a slice of GF toast with lashings of butter.

That was over 10 hours ago, and I haven't needed anything to eat since.
I think it may last me til morning!

I decided to mix things up with a v low carb and low cal day today so today's offerings have been a variety of snacky type things

So far 720 cal and 11g carbs - plan to aim for around double that tommorow to see effects on BS

Well, following yesterday's Breakfast. today has been a Lunch day.

Steak with Stilton, salad, mushroom (heroically avoided the battered onion rings), fried onions, a few chips and half a choc icecream sundae.
Bg went (briefly) too high, but came down nicely.
The meal took a leisurely 2 hours, so that helped.
I hesitate to guess the carbs, but probably 100g?
Stayed gluten free.
Heaven knows what my bg would have been if I had eaten gluten too.

Won't need anything else today, that is for sure!
