What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Breakfast: Bacon and eggs

Lunch: coffee with cream

Dinner: Steak with Stilton then pre-cooked shell on prawns

B. Raspberries with Alpro vanilla icecream ( incredibly painful throat and not feeling well so partner went out and arrived back with the Alpro icecream to help my throat):)

L. Leftover vegetables with gravy

D. 2 popadoms with mint yoghurt. Chicken madras with a chapatti.
 
Bed 6.4 FBG 6.7 and pre breakfast was 7.2.
Today was supposed to be a peaceful day, get shopping done and get on with clothes sorting. Best laid plans...... son got in touch wanted to go to recycling yard and take an air fryer back for replacement which involved a trip into town on a Saturday to an area where there is major building going on and next to no parking! Then he wanted to go to Lidl. 2 hours later I eventually got on the way for my shopping.
B. 2 scrambled eggs with cherry tomatoes and wafer thin ham. Tassimo morning coffee with cream.
L Nothing too busy with shops!
D. Pork ribs well spiced with lettuce, tomatoes, 2 mozzarella pearls, coleslaw and 2 Walnuts. A Thistley Cross strawberry cider.
Mouth still nippy from the spices.
Tomorrow will be a fishy day.
 
Bed on 6.3 FBG 6.8 and pre breakfast 7.4. Found another edible bread at Sainburys yesterday. Bfree- gluten and wheat free. The Tesco high protein is a better texture but the slice of Bfree is about double the size. 9.9g of carbs 68 calories and 3.5g Fibre. It is great toasted and tastes fine.
B. Slice of Bfree toasted with the fruity one pate. Tassimo morning coffee and a dash of cream.
L. If anything it will be a cup of boullion
D. Usual Sunday campari and soda and a wee prosecco.
To start scallops with black pudding, crispy bacon and rocket with a lemon and parsley dressing.
Main is hake fillet with a dressing of tomato and chilli served with wilted spinach, green beans and broccoli. Jersey Royals for the carbers.
Also for the carbers I have chocolate cheesecake and strawberries. I'll have one or two strawberries with cream.
I did say today was going to be a fishy day.
 
Brunch: Coffee with cream, two boiled eggs (cold) and three slices of corned beef - weird combination but I enjoyed it

Dinner: Roast chicken, one of Mr C's home made sausagemeat stuffing balls and my weekly treat - a small amount of above ground veg from the garden - probably chard or purple sprouting broccoli.

Not eating veg is the only thing about Zero Carb that I struggle with.

Prosecco
About 2 litres of sparkling mineral water
 
Cheese omelette and mushrooms
Half Lidl roll with 60g cream cheese and 30g ham
Roast chicken, broccoli and cabbage and leek in cream
 
Not been anywhere - just snowed under with work! Admin got behind and paperwork was arriving late so was always playing catch up - they are back on the ball again now :-)

Surfaced for an afternoon as all my reading is done for the coming week - I'm ignoring the pile for the week after!

Been so busy I haven't tried any new recipes but have been sticking to tried and trusted - FBG often under 7 now and MySugr is predicting a 45.7 Hbaic
 
I love this thread for ideas.
I get bogged down with same food due to restricted on low income.
I need to look up chicken ideas without veg.

B/f - Protein bread toast with butter.
Lunch - Pizza topping only and crouchetts (3)
Dinner - Chicken with......???

No snacks or liver block (supper)

L - lidl I protein roll toasted and spread with chicken and chorizo pate, 1 hard boiled egg
Dinner tonight will be a bbq with salad, strawberries and raspberries with double cream and some red wine.

Tomorrow I am attempting to go no carb for the week,

Enjoy the rest of the weekend all x
 
Wasn't feeling well this morning so had nothing to eat until about 11.30 which was 2 rounds of Burgen toasted.
Starving now and will be having what was meant to be a cooked brekkie i.e. bacon, egg, black pudding, a pork & apple sausage and a tbsp of baked beans, it will now be a mixed grill :D

breakfast, duck egg bacon and spinach
lunch tuna mayonaise and tomato
dinner to come pate de foie gras, moules mariniere and berries with dark chocolate and clotted cream
 
B: omelette with mushroom, bacon, spinach, salsa and a lot of water.
L: none
D: homemade gluten free lasagna and green salad. Interesting. The gf pasta made it ever so... um... claggy
Maybe 50 g carbs all day, and now i have indigestion.

I have to say, my newfound Carb Liberation is less fun than i expected! :hilarious:

L. Carvery. Pulled pork, diced turnip and carrots, cauliflower cheese, a stuffing ball and gravy.

D. Camambert and walnuts. Strawberries with some Alpro chocolate hazelnut icecream.
 
B - 2 rashers unsmoked streaky bacon, egg and mushrooms
L - 6 or 7 maccademia nuts and a similar number of smoked almonds
D - 1/2 large avocado mixed with chilli mayo, green salad
Snack - some home sprouted lentil, mung bean and sunflower seeds mixed with 1 tbsp tahini and some chilli flavoured munchy seeds
Drinks - 2 x coffee and cream, 2 bottles sparkling water with fresh lemon juice
 
Breakfast: One home made mini smoked salmon individual crustless quiche (equivalent of one large egg)

Lunch: Probably another mini crustless quiche

Dinner: a Sirloin steak with a little blue cheese melted in it

Have been following your zero carb thread already and your the inspiration with regards to my latest endeavour. So forst day of no carbs:

B - coffee with a splash of double cream
L - 2 left over bbq chicken thighs, 1 hard boiled egg and a cheeky small pack of pork scratchings
D - not sure yet, thinking of 2 sausages and a fried egg.
 
B - Nespresso coffee with cream
L - 1/2 large avocado with chilli mayo
D - plan to have 1 pkt of saucy fish company 'smoked haddock with cheese and chive' with a green salad and some oomi noodles Not had the fish thing before and itd better be nice - it was a flash sale item from ocado at 50% off so i bought a few and have got another 3 in the freezer!

Edit - the fish is very nice and at 1.7g carbs per packet, it will be on my (very short) list of "keeper" ready meals. Ill be looking out for it to be on offer again tho

Odd day. Went to bed on 7.8 FBG 8.2 and pre breakfast 8.1. No idea what caused it as apart from aching arms I don't feel unwell. Thankfully it has dropped to 6 now.

L. Slice of Bfree toasted with the fruity one pate. Cup of vegetable bouillon.
D. Diet Doctor burger with mushrooms , lettuce, tomato, mozzarella pearls and celeriac chips.
