What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Breakfast: Two boiled eggs, buttered Lidl high protein roll soldiers,

Lunch: Nothing

Dinner: Ham and cheese omelette with salad (all home grown)

Drinks: Black coffee with breakfast, sparkling mineral water for the rest of the day

Slowly improving bed 6.6 FBG was also 6.6 and pre breakfast was 6.9. Was wondering what to do for dinner tonight but my Instant Pot arrived so a lamb curry is on to cook. Hubby is looking very suspicious that it will happily keep warm until 7pm once ready.
B. Slice Hovis lower carb seeded with lurpack and the boozy one pate (@Chook - the boozy one is the duck version of the fruity one chicken liver pate I get in Sainsbury's)
Tassimo Kenco Columbian with a dash of cream.
L. 3 Walnuts and Marigold Swiss bouillon
D. My first Instant Pot lamb curry with onion, broccoli and green beans served with cauliflower rice and if I can be bothered Diet Doctor Naan bread.
I don't use garlic butter with this but I do add Nigella seeds to the mix.

@Goonergal I had a look today to see where the Oomi Noodles were in my Tesco (it's a Tesco Extra so it is a fair size). As @Brunneria said they are on a cool shelf but in mine they are on an end cool shelf with the City Kitchen ready meals and the Tesco Noodle pots so they don't seem to be consistent where they put them other than they are on a cool shelf.

Another fasting day today.

Breakfast - none

Lunch - none. Lucked out and fitted in my lunch time walk just before the heavens opened - arrived safely back at my desk just as the downpour began.

Dinner - roast chicken leg with buttered broccoli, cabbage and leeks; Oppo chocolate and hazelnut ice cream with double cream.

Drinks - 1 mug of tea with cream; sparkling mineral water and plain water.

Thanks. I popped into the small Tesco Metro around the corner from work on my way home and had a look on the shelf near the courgetti and cauliflower rice but didn't see any. Was in a rush so didn't look elsewhere. Might be too small of a store anyway. I'll be near a bigger one at the weekend so will look then.

B - 1 slice livlife toast with marmite.
L - 1 slice toasted banting bread with roasted courgette 'hummus'
D - another slice of toasted Banting bread with tahini, sheeps cheese, watercress and chilli mayo
Drinks 3 litres sparkling water, 1 Nespresso cappucino made with goats milk
Sugars have hovered between 4 and 7.5 all day - seems small low cab, low protein meals suit my sugars nowadays
Will prob need to have a small something later but wont have the Tesco protein bread again - it put my sugars up from 4.5 - 8.5 last night so its been binned - shame - it made very nice toast :-(
So far 835 cal 16g carbs and 16g fibre

Have you tried the salted caramel Oppo? Not as nice as the divine choc and hazelnut, but a close second. Not so keen on the mint and chocolate or vanilla versions although if push came to shove I wouldnt say no!

I am trying the 5 day 600 calorie diet - the fast mimicking diet - so today:-
Some Almonds.
A benacol which I have taken for 15years to lower cholesterol.
A large piece of cod with lots of green vegtables
Couple of cups of tea.
Three days down - two to go.

Yes, I have. Agree with your assessment - salted caramel is good, but not as good as the chocolate and hazelnut. Also wasn't keen on the Vanilla. Haven't tried mint chocolate as I've never liked that flavour combination.

For anyone interested in trying banting bread heres a link
The recipe i followed was the same but didnt faff about grinding flaxseeds - just 250g milled flaxseeds! And it used olive oil and 1 tsp erythritol instead of coconut oil and stevia. It also said 1/2 tsp xanthan gum - didnt have that so just left it out
It also included - 40g pumpkinn seeds, 2 tsp sesame seeds & 25g whole flaxseeds. I also put sunflower seeds on top prior to baking
According to MFP it comes out 150 cal, 5g fibre and 1g carbs per thick (50g) slice, good texture and toasts well

Tea
B: Small banana with Greek yogurt, 2 boiled eggs
L: Chicken & bacon butty on seeded farmhouse, berries & mullerlight Greek coconut yogurt
T: Home cooked gammon, three veg chips & green beans
Tea & coffee during the day

Terrible day, set myself up for a fall when I woke up feeling rubbish.

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs (but I hated every moment of them)
Lunch: Crispbreads with cheese. Then Tesco Express happened, and chocolate raisins were consumed.
Tea: Chips from the chip shop. I decided that I'd ballsed the day up, so might as well finish in style.

Tomorrow will be better.

B Greek Yeo, cherries, flax seeds

D Leftover chicken from last night, salad, Delouis mayo

Sn 100 g of nuts- bought so I could have "a handful and save the rest...."

T Small steak , green beans, grilled beef tomato ,mini sweetcorn with Kerrygold (Mini sweetcorn ! Mini sweetcorn! :wideyed: Hope that's not a slippery slope to carb madness. The packaging says there's 12g )
