all the little bits add up to a big bit, keep going, I am

Bed 7.5 FBG 6.4. Finally got out today although it was a performance to get to the main roads. Once there is was fine except you had to avoid some supermarket parking spaces where snow was dumped.
B. Slice Tesco high protein bread with phillidelphia. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream
L. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream
D. Salmon fillet with pesto and wilted spinach. Chia Pudding and raspberries.
Tesco was mobbed and looked like it had been hit by a plague of locusts. Still got a food order booked for tomorrow so we'll see what arrives. Forgot to buy Halo Top (Probably not a bad thing).

No luck - they've just cancelled my delivery. Oh well, I'll try later in the week.

Hiked to local shops and also dug out our drive for the second time - more exercise thanks to snow let’s hope there is no more to come.
Breakfast coffee and cream
Lunch blue cheese omlette followed by one square of 90% Lindt and coffee with cream
Dinner chicken curry and one slice of Hilo bread fried in coconut oil - my favourite Saturday night meal
Made an olive oil chocolate cake earlier today and having a slice in a bit with cream followed by a gin and soda water with ice and lime

Another 23/1 fast today. Don’t think I’m eating enough though as my liver has been protesting all day and doing its best to keep my BG up. Was planning on doing this for a week but have just taken a Lidl roll out of the freezer so I can take some lunch out with me tomorrow.

Dinner was brined chicken leg (my favourite meal of the moment) with buttered broccoli and cabbage followed by chocolate chia pudding with cream.

@Goonergal are you keeping an eye on your ketones that they are staying in optimal range? Mine have sometimes gone above 3 after several OMAD days this seems to stress things and put up my bgs temporarily! I’ve needed to switch things round to get optimal again.

Poor you it’s so annoying isn’t it when you think that’s one job done I’ll need to go to the real shop next week too!
Fortunately I hedged my bets after yours being cancelled so there is nothing I desperately need tomorrow. I will have to either redo the order or brave the shops on Monday though.

Good point. I tested them a few days ago after I’d eaten rather a lot and they were 1.7. Will test in the morning to see how they are - having woken up with FBG of 4.8, I was 5.8 by 10.30am (I’m usually on the way back down after morning liver dump by that time) and it took a while to come right down to my normal afternoon levels.

1pm, 3pm and 4pm cheese. Lovely.
7pm will be lamb chops.

No choc today, and i think the recurring cheese was compensation. Probably better to have the choc. Weight for weight, the choc is smaller. And i still may have a LC hot choc later. Haha!

I have decided that it is time i admitted to myself that this Zero Carb/Carnivory may be here long term.

I enjoy it. My body feels good on it. I am comfortable. No indigestion, cravings, or weird hunger. I’m sleeping well. I’m not bored (which is a surprise) and it is wonderfully easy. No phaff. I take meat/fish or eggs, with appropriate herbs, spices and seasonings, then I roast, or pan cook, or pressure cook it. Then I eat a ‘moderate protein intake’ kind of portion, and if that will leave me peckish, I add butter, or cream cheese, or whatever is to hand (bacon fat on eggs and mayo on fish have both been used) until I am sated. So simple.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a white coffee.
Lunch: ‘Skinny Café’ pancake with bacon and sugar free maple syrup, followed by Greek yoghurt and blueberries.
Mid afternoon: cappuccino and nuts at Caffè Nero with hubby.
Dinner: a portion of cold roast chicken, salad of cauliflower, broccoli, radishes and celery, with coleslaw and pork scratchings, followed by home made low carb strawberry crumble and cream.

B - nothing - trying some IF
L - scrambled eggs with pesto and 1 oatcake
D - 2 oatcakes and peanut butter, followed by yeo valley natural yogurt - a weird improvised tea as I too won't get a food delivery until Monday evening so we are making do with what we have for now - bit worried I'll spike by having 2 oatcakes

B. Usual coffee with cream and mct
11.00 - hungry, not sure why, so 25g of macadamia nuts hit the spot
L. Cheese, with a couple of olives and coffee with cream
D. The remainder of yesterday's pork loin with some garlic buttered sprouts...1/2 square of 75% choc....working my way up to 100% !

Don't often crave choc and this was all we had in the house but at least a small piece was enough!

Thawing here in the soutn of the UK......may all our shopping deliveries get through soon!!

Really good information Brunneria.....I am finding that I am eating some veg because I think I should not because I am craving or wanting it.....pardon the pun but your post has given me 'food for thought' !

It’s snowing here again just now covering our already twice cleared drive! Thought it was going to thaw here too in the West ! It took me a few weeks to work my way up choc percentage but now could all too easily binge on 90% which tastes like milk choc in comparison!

Oatcakes didn't spike me - yay! My tea overall was quite carby with over 20 carbs and none from veg so I'm really surprised - but wondering that as I fasted until lunch maybe there was more 'storage space' in my liver for sugars post-meal.

:D if you are interested, it is worth reading up a bit on Zero Carb - there are some blogs and articles about it if you search (discussing nutrition, fibre and Vit C, etc). The most interesting one I have seen is Eat Meat, Drink Water. As with any drastic diet change, I would suggest that people think about it carefully, and decide how to do it in a planned way. To be absolutely honest, I don't think I would ever have tried it. But I had a horrible tummy bug over Xmas, and didn't eat much at all, then for a while all that I could digest was meat. So it seemed an easy entry into trialling ZC.

coffee and cream to counteract 7.6 bg this morning

Walked dog then breakfast coconut porridge and 6 frozen raspberries.

Lunch was smoked mackerel fillet ( out of date so hope it was ok!) salad, avocado and mayo

Few almonds mid aft
And a Costa Americano

Dinner was Nando’s: Butterfly chicken and Mediterranean salad, only 8g carbs according to my Carbs&cals app. Great!

Think it might be too late in the day to be eating though, (9pm) I’m wondering if this is affecting my fbg, we’ll see in the morning.

I’m a big Nando’s fan too - wings and legs are my go-to, although I find it hard to get enough fat: take my own mayonnaise for the salad!

May well be having an impact - certainly does for me.
