@Brunneria and @Rachox thanks for the recipe, will def give this a go one day soon. Reckon OH would love it too - not a vegetable in sight!

I just made this again with the other half of the tin of corned beef , this time I added rosemary and garlic :hungry: I suppose you could add veggies!

Evening all in Birmingham for day today so planned ahead very carefully
Breakfast thermos coffee and cream
Lunch Stilton cheese and walnuts plus coffee and cream
Dinner Nando’s @Goonergal took your advice and took mayo with me had butterfly chicken, side salad and side of advocado ( recommend their advocado side a quarter is not too expensive 0.65p for a portion and just perfectly ripe went well with my mayo! Nando’s very good for us low carbers all nutrition info on site for different versions etc so easy to plan ahead.
Off to Italy next week for short break, yippee, so had to buy some new clothes for -hopefully - warmer weather as last spring/summer was three stone heavier so nothing fits. What a hardship hey!
@DJC3 not offered freebies at hotel choc but bought some goodies.

@Brunneria what is your cheesy corned beef recipe that is so popular? I’d love to try it after reading the rave reviews.

I varied @Brunneria's recipe for the cheesy corned beef thingy as I like heat (but it's still simple).
Used one of these mini pans from lidl. Chopped just over a tablespoon of yellow pepper and onion and softened it in the mini pan with a little butter and paprika. Add some chopped chorizo and hot sauce. Fry another minute or so. Add 4 or 5 chopped Santini tomatoes to the pan (or any little tomatoes) and allow to soften. Add 2 slices corned beef and mix together.
Make a well in the centre of the pan and crack an egg in. Wait until the white starts to cook then add a little dash of cream and put under a hot grill to cook a little more (I like the yolk to still be a bit soft). Remove and sprinkle over grated mozzarella. Return to the grill to melt. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley.
Sounds a lot of work but it isn't.

Morning: 2 mugs coffeesubstitute and cream
7pm ox cheek pressure cooked with some guinness. O my. Will do this again. I am about to go back for a second portion.

I have to find a source of ox cheeks. These 2 were a gift from my mother.
My son gets his from TESCO. It's one of the big Tesco Direct. Butcher told him what day they come in and he lets him know if he want then that week. Butcher then keeps them aside behind the butchery counter.

I'm a day behind again.
Monday - bed 6.7 FBG 6.9 so still higher than usual but daytime is back in the 4's and 5's.
B. Back on the school run so a slice of Hovis lower carb seeded with salmon pate. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Probably about 1/4 avocado and some prawns both of which needed eating.
D. Leftover chicken casserole from yesterday. Chia Pudding and raspberries.
Today - Tuesday
6.8 and FBG was also 6.8
B. Another slice Hovis lower carb seeded with phillidelphia and wafer thin ham. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing. Lunchtime pickup of No 2 grandson and gym monkeys to contend with.
D. Spiced ribs with lettuce a bit more avocado that needed eating, mini tomatoes and jalapeno coleslaw.
I succumbed to a scoop of Halo Top !

I am facing 2 weeks of utter chaos. Council have closed a section of the road I use to puck up grandsons - and I mean totally closed. All traffic including buses are now being filtered down onto the other main road but problem is the road they are using people park both sides so there is no room for 2 way traffic. With all the traffic going onto 1 road and buses trying to turn right across the traffic it is chaos. After one day I have up and did a circular tour. Why on earth didn t they wait until the Easter Holidays or, if they couldn't , suspend parking on one side of the filter road and put temporary traffic lights at the bottom?

I added fried onion to mine. It’s the only carby vegetable I allow myself - love it too much to give it up, so just have small quantities.

Coffee with cream to start the day

B: scrambled eggs avocado and feta

L: unexpected lunch out today, but only thing suitable was ham omlette and rocket salad. Enough eggs!

D: didn’t fancy much, few olives, bit of blue cheese and celery stick. Then started watching Celebrity Bake Off and had a craving for something sweet - luckily had a bar of Aldi Moser Roth 85% choc. In the cupboard - perfect!

Feeling your frustration @maglil55 there seems to be roadworks and diversions everywhere at the moment.

Hi all.

Succumbed to too much Montezuma’s Absolute Black last night and was hungry all day.

Breakfast - none

Early lunch - bag of pork crunch and 1 square of Willie’s Pure Gold 100% chocolate.

Still hungry a couple of hours later so had an egg and spinach snack pot and a peperami.

Dinner - Nando’s (obviously the place to be tonight). 3 plain wings, plain chicken leg with salad and mayonnaise. Followed by 5 Hotel Chocolat 100% buttons which I took with me.

Hi all

A 23/1 fasting day today.

Dinner was 2 Waitrose free range pork sausages, 2 rashers bacon and a Birds Eye burger followed by chocolate chia pudding with cream.

Flat is now full of the smell of chocolate olive oil cake which I’ve baked for my all day work meeting tomorrow. Very difficult not to eat any of it now!

Bed 6.4 FBG 6.3 so OK.
B. Black coffee. School run taking longer thanks to that road closure.
L. Yes it was my mexicanised version of the cheesy corned beef thingy and a Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
D. Duck breast with peppers, garlic, chilli and beansprouts. Overdid the chilli a bit
Scoop of Halo Top - just one as I'd got the mint one by mistake. Not my favourite but my throat needed it after that chilli!
Went with No 1 grandson to sort out my next car. He's picked red for me this time. He was very well behaved.
