Silly me!
I made the most fabolous ribs in my cauldron last night, then finished them on the BBQ. Actually I got distracted while they were out there, meaning the underside of the rack had some fab crispy bits.
Of course, as law demands, I then put the bones back into the seasoned cooking water, with a couple of flat rib bones from the freezer and made stock/broth. I had some of that at lunchtime.
Nom, nom, nom.
Do you have a favourite recipe for this, by any chance? I know broth is extremely healthy, but the thought just makes my stomach churn a bit...I'm in Saudi, so this will have to be beef broth. Or chicken. What else goes in or do you just drink the liquid? (Still new to this.)

They're a little pricey due to being imported from America and it's best to freeze them on receipt, but they're a really good bread substitute for only 2g carbs. I love them! Not sure I would be able to do this whole low carb thing without them as I adore bread.
Thanks! Are they comparable to ‘normal’ bagels? I remember picking a gluten free bagel in a café once by mistake and it was very dry, it may just been a bit stale but I don’t want to risk that price if these are dry too.
Thanks, I’ll put them in my ‘to try’ list.I don't find them to be too dry but I usually always have a small smear of butter with them. If you freeze them on the day you get them and then defrost one for an hour or so in the fridge they're usually soft. They don't have the characteristic chew of a bagel but I think that's to be expected with a low carb product
Years ago when I was a serious Rosemary Conley low fat devotee !!!! I moved to weak black tea so could ditch milk - for fat content reasons that time! My main remaining habit from those days (apart from slight guilt on eating high fat which is getting less but still there!) is drinking pints of very weak black tea - I love it and can’t tolerate milk in tea now. I’ve also infused different things in boiling water. When it was very cold I often did ginger, lemon and cinnamon and now looking at lemon and also mint. They are lovely if you do them yourself and at least then you can keep eye on ingredients!I was also worried about the anount of tea I was knocking back, partly because I like it with milk and the carbs soon add up, and partly because it was staining my teeth too much ( so vain!)
I love coffee but it seems to upset my tum a lot of the time.
I’m not keen on the herbal or fruit tea bags but have found chai tea pretty good and I can drink it quite happily without milk. Tesco Finest vanilla chai is my favourite but I also like the Hotel Chocolate teaolate. It’s too expensive for drinking in quantlty though.
When it comes down to it, nothing really hits the spot like a cup of tea does it?

I didn’t save it and now I cant find it. I’m off to stay with my vegetarian daughter on Thurs so thought this would work well for both of us for dinner.

About 600g aubergine sliced into rounds (use the baby ones if you can get them)
2 finely sliced onions (I use the white ones)
2 crushed garlic cloves
Olive oil
1 teaspoon each of garam Masala, turmeric and ground coriander.
400ml can coconut milk
400ml chopped tomatoes (I just chop my own and soften them with a little olive oil but you can use ready chopped no sugar variety)
1/2 pack chopped coriander (Sainsburys do fresh chopped coriander and parsley in sealed packs which keep for ages in the fridge)
Heat to oven to about 200C (180 fan).
Toss the aubergine slices in about 2 tablespoons of olive oil, season and spread out on an oven proof dish and pop in the oven to roast for about 20 mins until they have a golden look about them.
Heat another tablespoon of olive oil (I use a lidded non stick wok) and gently soften the sliced onions (you don't want them to brown). When soft add in the garlic and the spices and stir them through. Keep stirring for a couple of mins to release the spicy aroma.
Tip in the tomatoes, coconut milk and the aubergines , mix through , put a lid on and simmer for 20 to 25 mins. If it looks too wet take the lid off for the last 5 mins and take the heat up and keep an eye on it.
Check your seasoning and add a little xylitol or whatever if it needs it (sometimes the tomato can be a bit bitter - depends on the tomato).
Stir in most of the chopped coriander and serve with cauliflower rice and you can also make DD naan!
It's pretty easy and quick and this serves about 4 people.

Copy me That is an app. @Brunneria told me about it and I use it to store favorite recipes that I kept losing previously.@maglil55 thanks for both of those recipes they are ideal. I must look into Copymethat - is it an app? I always use my phone and the forum app.

I’ve just made a pizza using this cream cheeseHi all. A hungry day today - seem to swing between not being hungry at all and being very hungry at the moment.
Mid-morning snack - bag of pork crunch
Lunch - smoked salmon and cream cheese. Discovered the most DELICIOUS cream cheese in M&S. They only had low-fat versions of their standard variety, so bought this full-fat one. It is sooo creamy and light. So much so that I’m sure that it could form the basis of another lazy dessert - add a few raspberries and a broken up square of high cocoa content chocolate, perhaps some crushed nuts and instant cheesecake.
Mid-afternoon snack - finished off the cream cheese.
Dinner - chicken wings coated in Parmesan and pork crunch ‘crumb’. Used @maglil55 method of dusting in ground almonds, dipping in egg and then rolling in the crumb. Excellent result. Will add in some additional flavours next time. Dessert was Oppo chocolate and hazelnut ice cream with cream and 2 squares Lindt 90%.
