I too had a struggle yesterday with BGs - I hit 12.2! First I have from Friday to catch up on though.
This has been a chaotic week. After the "demon child" behaviour on Thursday No 2 had an early night on Thursday and was more normal by Friday. Me ? Bed 5.5 FBG 6.5. Friday was another busy day. Usual school/nursery run, pack bags for swimming, change of clothing, get No 1 from school, off to swimming, rush No 1 to get ready after swimming then back to Nursery for the "graduation" of all the little ones going off to school. All very emotional for the staff too.
B. A rushed affair. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream, Mattesons smoked sausage with 2 scrambled eggs. The rush probably explains the indigestion for the rest of the afternoon.
L. Nothing - no time
D. A bit delayed as No 2 went back to Nursery after graduation, had to get DIL to work, son and No1 home , pick up shopping then get back to get No 2 from Nursery and home!
Decided on a fishy salad. Tablespoon each of prawns and anchovies with a poached salmon fillet. 1/2 avocado, Santini tomatoes, lettuce, Tesco edamame and cauliflower crush and coleslaw. Couldn't finish it.
Went right off the rails later though and had a bit of lemon drizzle cake AND Halo Top (just in the interests of finishing the Halo Top you understand)
Saturday dawns and it is very much more of the same as today is No 2 grandsons birthday party at the Pony Club. Should have added yesterday I was also picking up the cake and another car seat as my car is ideal kiddy transport (think a mini bus would be ideal). Bed 5.7 FBG 6.6.
After reconfiguring the seats in the car, quick shower and change I didn't have time for breakfast.

L. Nothing - pony club parties take a while what with grooming, riding , play areas and interconnected tree houses, slides , rope bridges, zip wires.....kids have a ball and it was a glorious day.
D. After being kiddy transport again took son to pick up a new van and finally remembered to pick up school clothes order from M&S and do some shopping.
Stir fried vegetables and chilli chicken which I over chillied and consumed 4 pints of water very rapidly. This is when it got confusing as my BGs shot up to 12.2 and there was no logical reason for it. Wondering if the hot weather contributed to it and the rushing about with No food as I was feeling sick? I had a sleep and felt off which I reckon was down to the high BGs.
They did come down over a 2 hour period so I had a cafe hag and a bit lemon drizzle. I've discovered that a little 30 second warm in the microwave benefits the lemon drizzle after defrosting.
Today - Sunday
After my rapid rise and descent bed 6.2 FBG was also 6.2 but DP took me to 8.5.
B. To stop the DP was fishy. Tablespoon of prawn cocktail, fresh anchovies, Santini tomatoes, Tesco's edamame and cauliflower crush, spoonful of that M&S whipped cream cheese. You were not kidding - it's lovely.
L. Nothing - swimming lessons.
D. Will be chicken breast with garlic butter and a bit of sage and onion stuffing. Broccoli cheese and I may make that celeriac dauphinoise again. I think I also deserve a wee prosecco after this week!
