What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Can anyone advise as to the carb value of croutons please?
I love Caesar Salad and you really need just a few to give a bit of crunch.
According to Carbs & Cals 15g of croutons is 10 carbs :) That's 12 croutons according to the photo in the book.
 
Oh good - I had 4 so only only 3 or 4g of carbs.
Well worth it.

Thank you - do you have Carbs and Cals as an app or hard copy?
 
Today
B - Bacon, last of the fat bombs, bulletproof coffee
L - Prawns & spinach, 2 babybel
D - Cheeseburger (minus the bun, obviously)
S - 2 dairylea triangles

Since it's Friday, I'm going out soon to find a bottle of merlot with my name on it!
 
B: Full fat greek yogurt, wedge of camembert
L: bacon, 97% sausages, tomato and an extra large egg, strawberries, blackberries & cream
S: 2 Mini Babybel
D: Avocado & olive salad with Hellmann’s, jelly & cream
S: Will be 2 squares 85% chocolate
 
B: coffee and cream
L: large flat mushroom stuffed with blue cheese and baked and salad.
D: veggie "meat balls" with tomato sauce and cougette instead of pasta.
S: small handful of nuts and very possibly a glass of wine.
 
B: 3 egg Omlette avec cheese
L: big salad as usual with pate
D: chicken wings in a spicy dry sauce with home made blue cheese dressing
2 squares 85% and a glass or two of Rioja
 
FBG: 4.9
All day out
B: Coffee and lactofree
S: 2 boiled eggs, coconut yogurt both from Pret. 72% square choc.
L: Pulled pork, salsa, guacamole, sour cream and lettuce salad.
S: espresso with cream
S: Kale chips from Pret, a bag of pork scratchings.
S: Far too many glasses of delicious Malbec...oooohhh deaaaaarrrr..... :(

And now having some berocca to counter the effect of the alcohol tomorrow morning...
 
B - spinach and cheese pancake with bacon and eggs
L - unexpectedly taken out for lunch - so had chilli with salad
Snack - half a lidl roll with pate and butter
D - wagamas for anniversary treat - sesame coated fried chicken with pork udon minus the noodles. Then a teeny tiny black rice pudding with cream
 
Recipes vary, but it's basically a nice strong quality black coffee with a couple of tablespoons each of butter and coconut oil whipped into it.

I've only come across it recently myself. Tastier than it sounds.

I skipped the basil and added some grated cheddar as well, plus fried as pancakes rather than waffles. I did half and it did 2 medium frying pan sized pancakes.
I just had a go at these with what I had lying around. So, cream cheese instead of cottage cheese, kale instead of spinach, no extra cheddar. They came out looking very much like real pancakes - didn't taste of much though. Maybe some mustard or stronger cheeses next time.

But thanks very much for the idea. It's great!
 
Today I have eaten:

B: Fried egg, 2 rashers and 2 chipolatas, grilled mushroom and tomato

L: Smoked Mackeral, Mozzarella balls, sundried tomato and marinated artichokes.

D: a boneless leg of lamb that was 1/2 price at the butchers cooked on the BBQ with pea purée (just peas, mint and garlic) and a few veg cooked then sautéed in butter.

Had a Mojito earlier ( not sweet as we don't like them sweet made with agave nectar)


Drinking a bottle of Malbec/Shiraz currently.


This Low Carb eating is sooooo tough

Why would you?

I can't disagree.

I drink my coffee black mostly, and tea very strong with the tiniest splash of skimmed milk.

I idea of having either drink with even full fat milk makes me shudder, so the thought of cream or anything else makes my stomach do awkward things !!!!
 
B - full English at a local cafe, minus the hash browns and toast!
L - peanuts
Snack - pork scratchings
D - sausages, courgette noodles and aubergine cheesy bake
 
B: Groats soaked overnight plus cream, yoghurt, butter, coconut oil & blackcurrants
L: Almond/linseed bread, butter & cambozola cheese (in a hurry)
D: Plaice fillets shallow fried in almond flour batter, 2 small new potatoes & butter, mixed salad
 
FBG: 5
B: nothing
L: Nando's chicken thighs, green salad, halloumi cheese, baked sweet potato.
D: Barbeque steak, a bit of green salad. 2 small glasses of red wine.
S: coffee with milk
S: 70% divine raspberry choc squares
