Hi and welcome to this little corner of the forum. We are a friendly and supportive group and I definitely get lots of inspiration. I hope you find some of our menus helpfulI confess to lurking. Folks in this thread seem to have nailed it with managed blood glucose and weight loss where needed. Wondering where I am going wrong. Maybe not eating enough? Going to join in, and don't mind if anyone wants to comment / advise. Or ignore for that matter.
Yesterday:
B: ginger tea
L: FF Greek Yogurt, raspberries, black coffee, decaff
D: beef bolognaise, courgette spagetti
3 litres water during the day
Today
B: ginger and lime tea
L: sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, black coffee, decaff
D: chilli salmon, avocado, salad,
2 litres water
@Pipp i just looked at what you ate and i don't see anything wrong with it in fact it's very good and hardly any carbs. If it's weight lose maybe you have reached a plateau though i am by no means an expert.Still working things out myself in fact.Oh no, perhaps I picked the wrong thread.

Oh no does that mean only one Lidl roll left for the auction!
Decided to lunch at 15.30 with flaxseed flapjack and high fibre chocky bar - that moved things along nicely

Some folks put their silicon ring outside in the sunshine if it starts to whiff a bit. If I find there's a lingering aroma, I just throw a cup of water into the inner pot, with a decent squeeze of the cheapest lemon juice (Asda/Lidl or whatever) and give it a couple of minutes on pressure, then forget about it for half an hour or so. That usually freshens things up nicely.
If your pot is accruing cooking stains, then leaving it with some cheapo white vinegar in it for a while makes it sparkle. "A while" is quite indeterminate, as it usually means I forget about it until I'm next in the kitchen and catch a vinegary smell.Sometimes, I'll just give it zero minutes on manual, as that ensures the steam gets to all the little nooks and crannies where the whifs might linger.
It's all trial and error.
Hi @Pipp i still have weight to loose but my priority is controlling my blood sugars. Despite having quite a few calories most days I still seem to loose at a steady rate. Occasionally I might stay the same weight for a week or 2 but I am aware that actual body size seems to reduce even if no weight loss shows on the scales. Thanks for the welcome folks. Good to be amongst the cool kids.
I will remember that many of you are on maintenance, rather than weight loss, though will be stealing ideas.
@Goonergal I like the look of that 'lazy' almond butter, cream dessert.
@shelley262 , I am a bit of an aged hippy and use meditation. I can 'zone out' by listening to birdsong, or just watching clouds.
I think what I have perhaps been doing wrong is counting the calories. Trying to stay low carb and low calorie is difficult to balance. I was probably put off initially when I tried the concept of eating until you were satisfied, and had too much cream and butter in bulletproof coffee. Digestion couldn't cope with that, but looking at macros as a percentage instead certainly helps.Hi @Pipp i still have weight to loose but my priority is controlling my blood sugars. @Goonergal have you tried Lidl Polish Cream cheese? Their Polish season is finishing now so it’s reduced ( not that it was expensive anyway) it is a thing of wonder and, like the rolls I shall be sorry to see it disappear

Must watch out for that Brunneria. She has some amazing ideas.@Brunneria really takes credit for the dessert - she got me started and I just adapted it to make it even quicker and easier.
I am stuck between trying to lose a few more pounds and maintaining - up and down a kilo here or there for months. Like @shelley262 I find it much harder to fast these days but eating one meal a day really helped kickstart weight loss and brought my sugars right down.
