Good news dropped 3 HbA1c points, so now teetering on brink at 49.

Been AWOL, but sticking with the programme, even though I don't have much appetite. Perhaps it is time for another fast.
In the meantime, today
B: low carb muffin with peanut butter and decaff coffee
L: Salmon with lettuce and aioli.
D: chicken thigh, green beans.
Good news dropped 3 HbA1c points, so now teetering on brink at 49.
Not so good news no weight loss.
Thank you, @DJC3.That’s great news! Well done. What were you on diagnosis?
Not sure. Will probably need to throw in some fasting. Just not yet, as still not fully recovered from a few infections. Though I really don't have much of an appetite atm.Winner for the staying on plan and HbA1c; hug for the weight loss. Hopefully that will follow.
Love it!!!

Are you going to test as usual in the morning? I have to also do a morning one too, if I want to keep my excellent bgs steady.
The block doesn't last very long in the morning but long enough to get u to eat low carb coffee or similiar.
You will soon be the expert on your fbg needs. Your half way there. My morning BG yesterday after the late night cheeses wasn’t much different to usual at 8.7 and it shot up to 10 though I only have about 5g carbs in breakfast. But.... it soon came down and was the most controlled I’ve had it for days, mainly in 6s and 7s
I skipped the cheese last night but will try it again tonight to look for a difference. This morning’s spike is well under way
Trifle is one of two iconic P family celebration dishes - the other is rice crispy cake in the shape of a cat - which is definitely off my list. Mrs P is tasked with creating a worthy successor to her famous cricket tea monster trifles. Opposing teams would rave about those. The lemon drizzle cake will make a base and jelly is no problem. Homemade custard should be no problem. Mine will have plenty of cream. Just waiting for Mrs P to sort herself out - I think I make too many excuses for her but I have always been soft that way.

@Geoffno6 I am no lover of puddings and very wary of diet doctor BUT there are plenty of pudding/dessert recipes and those who like such things endorse them wholeheartedly.Ahhh puddings .... Mrs No6 has the moniker of Queen of Puddings and going to friends dinners normally involved travelling with a big box with something sweet and yummy inside. Alas, her new name is ‘Queen of low carb stuff with weird ingredients that tastes ok’ She has been a star, when the inulin and psyllium husk etc arrived she looked daunted but checked out diet doctor and came up with some pretty good grub for me. Sadly pudding seems to be sf jelly and cream or sf jelly and cream.
