What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B.red berries with Greek yoghurt

L. Snack size Camambert

40 minutes swimming

D. Smoked haddock with cheese sauce and asparagus. 6 strawberries with yoghurt.
I was hungry so I had half a slice of ham and a pot of pomegranate

B: two fried eggs with two rashers of bacon, tomato, mushrooms and garlic

L: homemade chicken soup with veg

D: pork belly with fennel seeds, roasted veg, green beans, broccoli and half a tiny sweet potato
 
B: small Greek Yogurt - coffee black
L: Spinach Salad (with feta cheese) - tea w 2 milk
S: don't know yet, probably a couple of slices of roast beef with peas or broccoli , will have a glass of red wine with that

Woke up with a 3.8 this morning and so far the highest my BGs have been today is 6.7. Wish I could replicate that every day Lol
 
ooh the mince and egg bake and the lemon baked custard sound fab, I'll be adding them to my list :)
My day
B: Fried egg and crispy bacon
L: Asparagus tips with butter
D: Buffalo chicken drumsticks , side salad with homemade lemon and mustard dressing. Salted caramel cheesecake fluff with a few flaked almonds
 
B: bacon lardons with a fried egg
L: cooked meat and cheese portions
D: fresh fish in a bag thing from Sainsbury's - only 2g of carbs
S: 4 Peters yard biscuits, cream cheese and a Coyo

So around 10g of carbs today. Boy do I feel great when my carbs are this low :):):)
 
Your results have been great recently @debrasue so your hard work is paying off, well done!
Well, I'd like to think so, but I'm not sure whether my readings have been skewed by the antibiotics, although I've stopped taking them for a week now, so maybe not. Wish I could lose some more weight, though... seems to have stalled (probably due to the HF). :(
You seem to be pretty well back on track with your BGs now, too.

I'm hoping so, and gosh do I feel so much better. Kinda got over the carbs again and not missing them!
 
Yesterday

B: Egg & Bacon
L: Soup and ½ a roll
D: Out to dinner, starter Pot of shrimps, Mains Monk Fish in Pancetta with courgette fritters Then Cheese and biscuit (1) and celery

Breakfast - porridge
lunch - homemade veg soup
dinner - the mince bake that @Brunneria recommended a couple of days ago with broccoli on the side, it was delicious and Mr. G has requested it be added to the regular menu :happy:

B: One boiled egg and half a Lidl protein roll soldiers (and my BG shot up from 5.3 to 7.4 after 2 hours???? Weird
L: Nothing
D: Half a crustless quiche and salad and - possibly - a bit of baked butternut squash

L: wetherspoons Skinny Steak with salad ands v odd mayo.
D: small bunless burger with masses of green beans, broccoli, baby corn and baby carrot.

D: Homemade beef chilli . Rocket and pomegranate salad. Lemon cheesecake fluff.. didn't put enough sweetener in .. eek !
S: Small dish of mixed nuts. and I'll have my usual cocoa with double cream later

D: M&S Prawn Curry and cauliflower rice
S: Not sure - if any it will be a little bag of Sunbites Popcorn
