What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B: none
L: diced chicken and the stir fried veg from last night
D: good sausages with veg and lc cumberland sauce which was unexpectedly good. Used zest and juice of an orange, juice of a lemon, mustard, worcestershire sauce and maybe a smidge too much of my pomegranate molasses.

If i have a slice of lc cake later, it will be greed, not need. Haha!

Making anothe dietdoc supermarket order tonight, for delivery tomorrow. So many options. :D

It didn't go well today as I had a breakfast

B: Black Pud, egg, bratty, bacon, mushrooms, and fried slice of high protein bread (10g carb)
L: A few nuts, and a chunk of cheese before dinner my BS were still high (6.1)
D: Chilli -con-carne with bulgar wheat and grated cheese 2 hrs later and its 7.9 :( (No pub tonight)

B Fried egg, black pud, half Lidl roll toasted, bacon, tomato
L Leftover sweet and sour pork & veg
D Anything I could find in the fridge, i.e. bacon, mushrooms & leeks in tomato sauce with a cheese topping, spicy red cabbage and steamed green veg. Mrs DeeJay had potato slices with her cheese.
Later: mug cake
It's so nice to see you back on this thread DeejayR ... I am still wading through this whole thread from beginning to end and when I actually joined I was disappointed that you weren't posting. And what happened to @GeoffersTaylor? Come back, I miss you too!

Planned for today is:

Breakfast: An avocado with a sprinkle of sea salt
Lunch: Can't make up my mind - could be another avocado.... maybe in a lettuce wrap.
Dinner: Low carb sloppy joes and salad - and maybe a drizzle of soured cream and/or a sprinkle of grated cheese

I found myself in a Little Chef, I ordered Scampi and chips and ate it all. Someone please tell me off!

Naughty Penfold :)

PS I did enjoy it LOL, but won't be doing it again for a long time - think it's first time in over a year I've actually had it

Very naughty @PenfoldAPD - go and sit on the naughty stair ;) ;)

(Was it nice????)

Breakfast - coffee & cream, polish salami
Lunch - about to have ham and cheese omelette
Dinner - am very excited as it's already in the slow cooker - liver and mince meatballs (my own made up recipe) in onion gravy. Will serve with cabbage and celeriac mash.

Thank you for telling me off! I'll sit on the naughty step all afternoon!

PS it was nice :) also, it could've been worse - I used to eat an Olympic breakfast in Little Chef, more food in one sitting than anyone ever needs!

Blame my Dad. When I was very little he came up with the idea for Little Chef. His employers made a fortune - shame we didn't get any. Apparently I (in nappies) was the inspiration for a place to get a family friendly meal 'on the road' where babies nappies could be changed and their feed heated up.

That's just what I was thinking about - the Olympic breakfast. Was too big for me but I loved little chef breakfasts. In my travelling days they were a frequent haunt - much better than the motorway service stations. Favourite was Scotch Corner as it was about half way through the journey North and home.
So come off the naughty step - I get the temptation.

OK things are holding up well so far - still haven't got over going to bed on 6.4 and getting up to 7.3. Bigger shock was it dropping to 6.7 pre breakfast. It's not done much today - dotting about between 6.8 and 7.3 but at least it is lower than the past few days. Anyway
B. My favourite 2 scrambled eggs with parsley and 2 rashers crispy streaky bacon with black coffee with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing
D. Diet Doctor Tuna Cheese Melt on Oopsie bread

Hubby is having baked potato with tuna so makes life easy as he can have the same mix on his potato - although I may add sweetcorn to his.

Phew, thank you! Home having a LCHF dinner now :)

B. Red berries with Greek yoghurt

L. Melted Camambert with walnuts

D . Indian restaurant, 2 popadoms with mint yoghurt and onion. King prawn and salad starter. Chicken tikka and salad.

I have my usual pomegranate pot on standby. :)

The DD tuna melt is delicious and what a plateful! I got 6 Oopsie out of the mix. Odd texture because it is similar to a whisked sponge which I have made many times. Light and sponge like but with a savoury taste. I used a large serving spoon to portion the Oopsie batter and 6 gave you a decent size. I put 2 per baking sheet and cooked in 2 batches. 25 mins is about right.
The tuna mix - 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise is waaaay too much. I added gradually and 2 dessert spoons was plenty. I also changed it surprise surprise - my 'pickle' I chopped up pickled courgette and pickled pepper instead of raw celery. It's a whole tin of tuna per person.
To finish it's 2 Oopsie cover in the tuna mix then I sprinkled cheddar on top - about 1/2 their recommended dose. Sprinkle of paprika and back to the oven for 10 mins. I served with a small salad anything else would have been way over the top. 6g carbs 68g fat 59g protein - that's the entire meal.

L: Some cold roast pork and cheese
S: Peanuts
D: Slow pot roasted gammon in white wine and shallots, with cabbage, spinach and courgette

6.1 before dinner 6.0 at 2 hrs :)
